Pixel 2 / 2 XL - Let's see your setup on your Home Screen(s)!

I'm late, to this party, as I just got my P2XL, last week.
I'm digging it, so far. I've managed to not root it, yet, even tho I miss Dolby Atmos, terribly!

Toronto pic for wallpaper.
Nova Launcher Prime.
Perfect and Moonshine icon packs.

Welcome to the Pixel 2 world! How are you enjoying your new 2 XL so far? Awesome setup!

Thanks! I'm digging it! I waited until they came down to what I consider a reasonable price, before getting one.
I had an OG Pixel XL, for a few weeks and it was a pretty good phone, I just didn't think the HTC design was all that asthetically or physically appealing.
I most recently had an LG G6 and would have probably kept it, if I could have a custom ROM AND VoLTE. I couldn't deal with the amount of bloat that LG throws on and their GUI was not to my liking, either. It was too much like Touchwiz.

The P2XL home screens are still being tweaked. May be a bit busy with the widgets. In the past I didn't run widgets, because they usually ate up battery, but nowadays batteries last longer.
My other DD is a Moto Z2 Play and its battery lasts and lasts, but there is not much developement for it, so that's why I've been having another phone to play with, plus I always have a backup, that is setup and up to date, in case of a catastophic event with the DD.

I'll probably end up rooting the P2XL, soon, because I gotta have Dolby Atmos for streaming tunes, in the car. I'm looking at the Nitrogen OS ROM.

I totally get what you mean about LG. I love the G6! But unfortunately LG does come with a lot of manufacturer-specific bloatware.

Wow, a Moto Z2 Play! I love those too! And hey, if you gotta root, you gotta root - do what you gotta do!

It's smart of you to keep a backup - you never know what could happen!

I am using a new launcher called Niagara. Very minimalist and fast. Just in case you are interested

I have removed it but there is an A-Z swipe panel on the right hand side to select apps.

Yes! I work in an industrial environment and go out on small boats. Anything could happen. My main back-up stays in a zip lock bag in my lunch box. If things get really bad, I have a Motorola Droid Mini as the back-up's back-up. ;)

I love that you even have a backup to your backup! I normally have one backup so it would be REALLY bad if my backup died too!

To be honest, I don't actually carry the Droid Mini, but its standing by, ready for action, in my nightstand drawer. :)

Still tweaking away at the setup.
I found the System UI Tuner icon in a folder on my second home screen. I had looked for it in settings. I hadn't thought about activating that, on this phone, as I had forgotten it takes a process.
It was left over from a Nova backup, from my OG Pixel XL, that I restored on this phone, to start with.
I removed the battery icon, so just have the battery bar in the status bar, now.
I looked into theming, today and found that it is no longer possible to theme without root.
thanks googlelords (eyes looking up)

Goodness some of you have some busy home screens! Lol.

I personally just don't care for icons on my home screen and that goes for both my phone and computers. First thing I do when I get on a new PC is right-click and hide desktop icons. Haha.
