I use it, and I'm a big fan. I'm often a fan of the KISS concept in phones, and this follows that concept. I like having a clock, and on my nightstand, it's not enough to be obvious but dim enough to not light up the room. Toss in some simple notification icons and that's all I require.

Granted, a more interactive AOD like on the V30 is nice, but then you start down the dark path of feature bloat.

But it still works! I like it. Only shows when my AOD is up. Good comprimise until I go back to Android P (which has it built in). I'll probably go back when DP2 comes out. Couple bugs in DP1 drove me nuts

It's not a huge draw on power but there is some certainly. I just prefer having a black screen till I decide to wake it up. My dresser where the phone sits in a stand facing me is about 6 feet from my head as I sleep and I can't read the AOD from that distance if I wake up, takes awhile to focus LOL. If I need to know the time I just ask the google girl.

My point was I'm getting different results than you had listed
