Pixel 2 any body switching over

I've ordered both pixels and I'm ditching the note 8. Tried doing a return but Samsung customer is utter crap and they are still working on the return ticket so I just sold everything on swappa for a profit since I didn't play full price because of the note 7 deal. Gave Samsung a chance after a long hiatus but that ship has sailed permanently now.

Sticking with the Note 8, I've been waiting for it since the Note 4 lol, love it! Not interested in any other phone including the Pixel 2.

I don't know how people can just drop 800-900 bucks on a phone that's not even that different every 2 months...And why would you go for more bezels, a worse screen, and no wireless charging...AND as far as updates go, the days of bad Samsung software are over and I actually like Samsung Experience more than stock. Has all the features of Android Oreo plus more.

With all due respect.. some of us work hard for the things we want. I'm thinking about getting the iphone 8 Plus for the heck of it (and because it seems to be better atvideo than the Note). Note will alwaysbe my primary, i love this phone, but.. i like cell phones :) i lile tech. Its kind of my thing. So i work and make the money to buy it :)

Nope, no thanks. Pixel XL 2 is a downgrade in many ways to the Note8, and at the same time I use the SPen a hell of a lot!

To those who are switching, enjoy! Hope it is worth the change! :)

Don't see any features or reason to get the new pixel. Especially with AT&T I would loose features like HD calling and wifi calling better to have carrier device now a days in my opinion plus the note 8 is a superior device in my opinion.

It's not even in the same class as the Note, any Note, much less this awesome Note 8. Most users of the Note series are business people. If you haven't set Action Notes up on your Note 8 you just don't understand. The Note 8 with Action notes is a business tool, not just a new toy, which most cell phones are, they just aren't on the same level as the Note. With action notes while I'm on a call with a prospect I can take notes about the prospect, and the next time I talk to that number(it's tied to the number), the note icon comes up and I see for instance I talked to him about Dallas to OKC dry van loads for $750, three loads a week. His son's name is Johnny, he plays baseball and has a game on Saturday. These notes help me to turn prospects into customers, which means money, my "phone" just paid for itself many times over. '

Without a stylus it's just a phone. And maybe a camera, but Pixel 2 with less ram, cheaper, smaller, less battery life, no wireless charging, and less storage than a Note 8, but you get an Oreo. The Note 8 will get its Oreo soon enough, but it will make little to no difference in how I use the phone to run my business.

So I guess the short answer is No. ;)
Very cool about the action notes. I'll have to look into that. I mainly do inside sales but it would be helpful. Use mine for work and home. Will dive further into it to unlock it's full potential. I'm also a very hard core Note person and the Note 8 has everything I want in a phone

Don't have the Note, but if you have any recent phone, Mate 9 Note Galaxy 8 or V30, the pixel is a good downgrade, only advantage is updates will be delivered on time, other than that it's just ab average phone minus camera

The thing that annoys me the most about the software updates is that you get an update full of bugs (most of times) - so what's the point to get the update first?

I don't see anything from the pixel that would make me want to switch, seems like a downgrade. I am interested in those pixel earbuds however

Respect back at you, but I work hard for the things I want as well, I can afford to buy every phone that comes out, and I like tech, but for me it makes no sense.
That's money I can invest in the stock market, add to my 401k or emergency fund.

Is it so? Never had a pixel so idk, in paper it sounds promising.

My last update on the mate 9 was in June, and tbh outside of security updates, the phone needs nothing, it works perfect

not trying to knock people for doing that, I upgrade yearly and also work HARD for my money and love tech. But I just just think the Pixel 2 isn't enough of a change to "upgrade" from the Note 8. OG Pixel is a different story. I had the OG Pixel and it was the best phone I ever owned, until I got the Note 8 😁

Pixel 2? No. Pixel 2 XL. Absolutely already ordered and have a delivery date of the 18-19th. The note is the best phone since the original pixel XL and that phone beat the hell out of the note 7. I don't need the s pen and this is the first year where the samsug lag isn't crippling. It's still there just a lot less noticable. I'm looking for battery life and camera and last year's pixel XL destroyed every other Android phone in battery life and camera and I had ALL last year's Android devices 😁😁😁

I'm keeping the Note8. Having said that, the Pixel 2 xl looks like a great phone. I just prefer the Note8 of the two. Either phone would be great to use.

I will probably be getting one to play about with and see how the camera processing has improved.

I also like to make my own mind up.

But, and it's a big but, having seen the Pixel its in no way in the same league as my N8.
The N8 will remain my daily driver / work tool until the N9 comes :)
