Pixel 2......bezelgate

I was dubious about the bezels until I held it for the first time. After using phones with minimal bezels or huge phones for so long now, I absolutely love this and I'll be buying the same design if I can for the foreseeable future.

So glad it feels good in the hand! Unfortunately, I've yet to hold one but I'm super excited to get it!

Yup.. LOL

Last year with the original Pixel phones half the threads were 'OMG bezels' and / or 'Dem bezels tho' type remarks. I actually quit coming to the forums for a while because I didn't feel like logging in to 16.7 million OMG bezel type posts..

This time around, for the Pixel 2, the 'OMG bezels' and 'Dem bezels tho' comments have been less than last year but ya know, it's the internet so.....

Anywho, the bezels don't bother me and they are nowhere even close to being the 'outrage' some make them out to be. Bezels do have benefits like when using the phone in landscape mode ect..

The only thing more exasperating than the endless complaints about bezels is the endless complaining about the complaints about bezels.

The big-*** bezels on my Pixel 2 provide the perfect surface for another project of mine. I've permanently mounted my dongle with JB Weld to my lower bezel and BOOM...I've effectively got a 3.5mm jack on my custom Pixel 2. Suck it, bezel-haters and 3.5mm-jack-whiners.

This is ludicrous!! 99% of the people complaining about the bezels will be slapping a crappy plastic case around the phone anyway! Spare us from your faux outrage.
