I got this phone a week ago and already managed to eat up 2 GB of data while at work the last few days. Haven't been using it any differently than my last phone (Galaxy S6).

Checked the data breakdown and Chrome and Android are using a lot of data:

Chrome 1.05 GB total (718 background)
Android OS 289 MB (all but a couple hundred KB background)

I just turned data saver on Chrome, is there anything else I could turn off to reduce background data?
Also, what is under the Android OS banner on the Pixel 2 that could be taking up a chunk of data?

Tap on chrome within the data usage. You can turn off background data for it. See below for an example with Google Play Movies.
