Pixel 2 Trade-In Nightmare - Buyers Beware!!!

It was just a thought; I have a currently active RMA which shipped, using a prepaid label that Google sent me, via USPS and then transferred to FedEx.

Well thanks for the info, hopefully they will get it and do my assessment soon.

Did you guys get an email like this from Google once your trade-in device was received?

I've been having problems as well. Sent mine in on the 19th and the website is acting like they still haven't received it. I'm in contact with support but all they couldn't tell me anything and said an advanced support person would contact me in a few days.

no confirmation email from Google that they've received my trade in. The only confirmation is from USPS that my trade in was delivered on 10/30.

I forgot to keep my tracking number with the post office. Is there a way to find out what it was?

oops, I started a new thread with this following question also. I sent mine in on Monday, 4 days ago. How long before you are notified that they received it?

I did the trade in and had no issues. I took a chance and used the padded envelope. I even sent it to them before my pixel 2 arrived. I MUST be crazy. Anyhow, it took them about a week before I got a message that they had received it and the credit was on my account about 3 days later. So I had a really good experience. Now just waiting for the $325 credit from T-Mobile......

I was able to track the entire process from the Google store order page. I think you tracking number should be listed there.

Google finally credited me $108 on Friday a week after making the original call and inquiry with an email. $108 was strange as it was suppose to be just $100, but I’ll take it. I’m pleased with that resolution but the time, phone calls and level of follow up weren’t good at all. I still caution others doing the trade in and will be using Swappa in the future.

Well on 11/2 my tracking said "Delivered to Agent", "Tendered to Final Delivery Agent" and that the Postal service no longer has the item, but I still haven't received any confirmation from Google that they have received it. I will give it another day or two and then call if I haven't heard anything.

Samsung just f*cked me on their trade-in program. Should've never hopped off the Pixel 2 XL train, apparently.

I'll be sending my Pixel XL off today when I get off work. I have hope I don't have a bad experience. I hope to get close to what I was quoted.

FWIW, I never got any progress email that it was received, or being evaluated. This popped up today, about 2 weeks after I dropped it in the mail

Tracking says they received it on 10/27 but still nothing shows in my account. My phone has been sitting there for a long time and all they tell me is they are busy. This is not acceptable imo.

Tracking showed mine was delivered on 11/3 after a delivery exception on 11/2 that they were closed when the delivery was attempted at 3:48. I have gotten no updates so I just contacted them via chat and he said his records showed it was received on 11/8. Then he said this third party outfit processing the trade-ins would take 10 business days to evaluated it and then I'd get an email stating what my trade-in amount is. So I've lost 3 business days they've had it but are saying they only got it today.

"Value either matches or is more than the estimate"

Unless there are circumstances where they will actually increase the trade-in credit, they really shouldn't put that 'or is more than' language in... Kinda like saying, "thanks, sucker!"

Anyone had their credit actually increased?

Me f*cking too man, me f*cking too. I thought Google would be better though. I wonder if people are sending their phones to the same ****ty third party in Illinois?
