The first Google phone, the Nexus 1, was released in 2010. I suppose you might think of that as youngish. The Google company itself is just over 20 years old.

Very off topic but I varied my phones until the 6P came out and since then it has been all Google. I have had only one other phone that I like as much as Google phones and that was the Sony Xperia Z2.

My mobile phones in order.

Blackberry Storm
Motorola Photon - good phone miss the kickstand
Samsung S3

Sony Xperia Z2
Samsung Note 5 - this was the reason for my 6P purchase, bad charger connection with the Note, it wouldn't charge

Nah lots of people including mine are 128 GB XL and delivering tomorrow. Original estimate Oct 18-19.

I so wanted the 128 as I have lots of audiobooks but I had to spend the extra $100.00 on the stand, it just offers so much to the phone.

Yes, there are quite a few ordering the 128 XL, but so far I'm the only one here that ordered a regular black 128 P3,at least in this thread.

I ordered the same, supposed to be delivered Thursday. Did you order from Verizon or Google?

Ordered from Verizon on 10/9. I still haven't gotten a shipping notice. I am getting very antsy!

I got my shipping notification today, delivery on Thursday.

What's odd is I also ordered on the 9th through the MyVerizon app and no mention of my free Pixel Stand at all. It didn't ship separately and as far as I can tell it didn't ship with my phone (even though that's what the Verizon rep said would happen). Looks like another year fighting with Big Red to get them to honor the offer I purchased my phone with. Same thing happened to me last year with their Pixel 2/free Home Mini promo. It's getting old having to deal with this BS.

I'd say my only regret in my list is not getting the HTC One M7. I really lusted that phone, no cash at the time

Update to my shipdate. My delivery improved. My phone was shipped and is scheduled to deliver 18-19. Pixel 3 xl 128 GB just black and through google store. Ordered Oct 9th.

Last year my mini came quick but my stand isn't even showing up at all not is my case and I have no shipping info ordered from Verizon

64GB Black, Pixel 3 from Google Store, unlocked, ordered mid day 10 Oct. Stated 23-24 Delivery. Shipped 16 Oct. Arrives by end of day, 18 Oct.

By the way, my phone was picked up at 3:41 pm on the 16th and Google didn't send me a "shipped" email until 4:55 AM on the 17th.

I think he meant as true phone supplier. The nexus 1 up to the Nexus 5 where pretty much Google sponsored phones from other manufacturers. The Nexus 5 was the first real attempt to have a Google commissioned phone. The Nexus 6 ended up being a rebrand of a product mid development. The Nexus 6p and 5X was the first real time that Google became what we know of today as a phone "manufacturer".

I bought a used 5X about two years ago to use while waiting for a phone to get repaired. Unbelievable how well it performed on 2GB. Almost hated selling it after I was done.

I ordered a black 64gb Pixel 3. My order initially said it'd be delivered the 24th or 25th, but it's shipped out and is scheduled for delivery tomorrow, the 18th.

Might have been Google's way of hyping the demand, "shipping times are slipping" comes to mind.

My most memorable phones were the Nexus 4 and it's glittery back, and the Moto X with it's leather back. I don't think Google has made a competitive small phone since the Nexus 5, but I have returned for the Pixel 3.
