Pixel 3 / 3 XL - Shipping Discussion

Well geez. I don't understand this at all.

If you go through the order process in the Store now, it says shipped by Oct 23rd, but my preorder won't get to me until Nov.9th? Goofy.

I ordered from Fi on Oct 10th, said the delivery date was Nov 8-9. Got an email tuesday night saying my phones had shipped, they arrived this afternoon.

Is that the one we were talking about ordering a while back - from Amazon I believe?
How do you like it?

It's nice.... Don't know how long it will stay that way, but the tempered glass layer appears thicker than the typical tempered glass that's on a screen. The Apple version on Amazon gets good reviews.

Edit....it's actually hard to tell how thick the tempered glass is because I think it's layered over TPU or plastic on the inside.

I think it loses some of its two-tone look but on the clearly white there wasn't much of a two-tone look to begin with

Good - mine is on the way.

ETA - I have a Clearly white XL - so all should be good.

Received my 3XL yesterday (had an original arrive date of 19th-22nd). I've really been enjoying putting it through its paces.

I don't know if you read the edited version of my post but the tempered glass is probably not as thick as I thought.

I think it's on top of TPU or plastic but it still good.... also it's sort of takes away the two-tone look of the clearly white but there wasn't much two-tone look there anyway

I've never had to sign for a phone that came direct from google. But the ship confirmation email states "Note: Delivery may require a signature." Is this standard?

Well, I'm jealous of all the early deliveries It won't kill me though. I'll get my cases and screen protectors from Amazon tomorrow. My credit is being bumped up to $75. I'm thinking of using that to get the moment case and lens from the Google store.

Got mine yesterday and didn't sign for it (was @ work when delivered)

Re: Order a Pixel 3 / 3 XL? Is it shipping / card charged / etc? Sound off here!

I guess I jumped the gun! Apparently fedex tried to deliver around noon today, but required a direct signature (even though says an indirect signature was all that’s needed). Picking it up from the facility today after 4pm.

Apparently it’s just the notifications from Verizon that are severely lacking, still shows shipment date of 10/31 and no tracking number.

Only got the tracking number for my second order because of sequential order from the other order. Shouldn’t have to be a lucky guessing game!

Based on my experience, and many posts here, I'm not sure anything is standard anymore.

The confirmation email says "Note: Delivery may require a signature."
But when you click the FedEx link, it doesn't specifically say "direct signature required" at least for me.
That usually means it's up the the drivers discretion to leave it at your door.
My house is pretty secluded, so I never have a problem unless the direct signature is required.

Welp I didn't preorder until yesterday, so mine will ship "before 10/23". It's fine as I'm in no hurry. Plus my Google case won't get in until about that time. I'll just live vicariously through you all.

I was just typing that I hope my case gets here before I go out and the text came through saying it's delivered so it must be outside my door.
Good thing because I fumbled it as it was charging I went to pick it up and the cable hung up and I almost dropped it but it would have fell on the carpet

Deep pile carpet?

You might have to drill down further into the details to see it or if you set up notifications to your phone it'll tell you if signature is required
