Pixel 3 From Best Buy

Just to clarify, there are differences between the Verizon model and non-Verizon model.

Both models come with their respective bootloaders locked. The difference is that the non-Verizon model's bootloader can be unlocked, if/when needed, via Developer Options; however, the Verizon model's bootlader is encrypted and cannot be unlocked. So, if you are in a situation where the only means of recovery is flashing a factory image (not sideloading an OTA) you're dead in the water unless the bootloader can be unlocked.

If an update goes awry, and the phone cannot be factory reset, nor can an OTA be sideloaded, the only means of recovery may be flashing a factory image, which cannot be done if the bootloader is locked. The bootloader must also be unlocked if you're to recover from the dreaded "ERROR: Slot Unbootable: Error."

The other difference is that the Verizon model Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL do not have eSIM capability.

Now, if those differences do not matter to you, you would likely be perfectly happy with the Verizon model. On the other hand, if those differences do matter, then you should probably give the issue some thought before making your purchase.

Good pick up on Esim didn't know that

Whatever Verizon puts on once you put your sim card , you didn't read what Mike and I was talking about ?
Bro, I just looked at my own Pixel 2 XL and I have the My Verizon app and the NFL app. Those are the only two that could remotely be considered a Verizon app. Your first post was about all the apps they put on the Pixel. I simply asked which ones.

Maybe your not understanding , I know that Verizon model get their version apps thought they come already pre installed but according to Mike when you put your sim in they get download . I don't have Verizon so don't Know which Verizon apps get download or how many .

It's 1 or 2 at most.

The only thing I'm not buying in that thread is that Verizon had the Esim chip removed. It's probably just disabled through software. To be clear, I'm not saying I'm correct....just what I think.

Makes sense maybe it is just disabled and when they get ready it'll come in a software update.

I don't know how the eSIM feature has been disabled on the Verizon Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, I only know that it is disabled.
