But you can just use Google Photos like you can on Android so it would be the same as it is on Android/Pixel.
There's also being able to arrange icons the way I want

What else?
Not sure what you mean by take up more space. For One, I would like my photos organized. Creating album s and transferring photos to those albums are much easier on Android. Also with iOS there is the camera roll. Why have photos in camera roll with copies in albums. Just takes up more space
Have an opportunity to buy an iPhone XS for CAD1000 (only a few days old) or a pixel 3 for CAD800. Which one should I choose? Currently have an iPhone X which I love. But I’ll be giving this to my daughter..so Loki g for a phone for myself.
Considering the price difference of 200 which one should I get??

In Android copying a picture to another album makes a physically duplicate copy of the picture. But IOS photo albums do not make another copy of the pictures when you copy pictures to another album. Albums are essentially flags or labels to help you group photos together.
Being able to plug the phone in and just drag & drop music, files, photos, videos to and from the phone.

In my phone there is a camera folder where all the photos taken go. From there I can create folders for food, pets, travel etc. and put photos in their respective folders. Those pics are no longer in the camera folder. On iPhone I put pics in respective folders from camera roll folder. When I look in camera folder there is still a copy there. So There is essentially two photos
I used to use this but in the past few years I haven't.
Again using Google photos this isn't the case. On your pixel you are using Google photos. If you do that on iPhone it will behave the exact same way. You still even get the delete all photos from the iPhone that have already backed up to Google to save space (see below).

Put it this way. Say you have 50gb of photos. You can make 100 albums and "copy" them to each album even on a 64gb iPhone. You cannot do the same on a 64gb Pixel. Heck you can't do that even if the pixel had 1000gb, which of course it doesn't.In my phone there is a camera folder where all the photos taken go. That's because iOS only keeps one physical copy of the photo regardless of how many albums you or them in
Definitely annoying but I wouldn't say that makes the whole OS locked down. One year Apple will listen but for now the grid lives, unfortunately.

I just use spotlight search (swipe down) and type the first letter of the app and it shows up. Pretty quick and have been used to do this for many years now and honestly don't even know or care about where the apps are. Do the same with Android. Both on Android and iOS i just have the first page with my frequently used apps and anything else is by a simple search using gestures.
Yep that is one thing I have used a few times. So far though I have my home icons arranged in a better way. I just got a lot better w/ folder management this time around haha.
One thing I hate about IOS is how every iPhone looks exactly the same. I want my phone to be a customized, individualized experience different from all the other phones out there. Impossible on iOS.
That being said, the iPhone Xs I recently bought my wife is far and away the best iOS experience I've ever seen to date. I very nearly night one myself. The gestures and smoothness blew me away when compared side by side with the Pixel 3 or my S8.
Still hate the locked down style though and price. I'm holding strong, for now lol.
Yeah I used to be in the customize boat but now I really don't do much but change wallpaper. Icon packs and all that were a pain if I ever had to resetup and then I came to the realization of -- even if my phone looks like others why do I care? No one uses my phone but me. I never showed it off to friends or w/e so it just wasn't as worth it for me.
Hell ever since Pixel I even stopped using Nova and just use the Pixel launcher lol.
You're getting boring in your old age lol........ but I do the exact same thing :O
Maybe we're just getting lazy ;-)
