Spills the beans...who is switching ? I'm seriously tempted to get one so I can enjoy the benefits of software updates.

The home hub and the slate look very promising though.

LOL no. The most premium configuration of the Pixel 3 XL only has 128GB of storage and 4GB of RAM.

Hmm let me see switch for a phone with the biggest tallest ugliest notch ever conceived that has no expandable storage or headphone jack and no pen?

OR

Keep what I am already happy with?

Tough call :D

Seriously. I feel like getting a used pixel 2 for dirt cheap for
new software updates is wiser. Lol.

Don't get me wrong. I love my note 9. The horrible update situation from Samsung is what upsets me every time I see some kind of software announcement from Google.

I decided to try it out. I love my note 9 but I get the poorest reception where I work. I figured i'd try out the pixel, see how it works and if nothing else only cost me a $35 restock fee to check.

Yeah. It would be a tough choice between my lovely S Pen and the offer of speedy updates of no proven benefit. I stand to be corrected. I chose the Note 9 every time-even in my worst nightmare.

Love the FLAT glass in the front that blends right into the curve of the frame... I personally think the Galaxy series would all look great if the front glass was shaped like that. I never did like the two tone of the back of past Pixels but the etched/frosting in the back sounds pretty cool and looks cleaner than past models.

I'm never a front face camera user but the idea of the wide front face sounds cool and there are a few pics I can think of would have been nice for group pics like when I was in Colorado skiing or hiking in the Canadian Rockies. The new camera features sound pretty cool and the camera is hyped up to be the best in class.

Front firing speakers top and bottom, water resist, fast charge and fast wireless charge and clean Android UI all sound good. I like that many of the new features including the camera features are trickling down to Pixel/Pixel2 models so shows you updates should be much better and phone much more "future proof."

Sounds like a solid phone. I'm happy with and standing pat with my 8 for another year.

I just want the camera software to be honest, sadly I'd lose a lot more than I'd gain if I traded the n9 for a p3xl.

Also the fact that it's $150 more then last year is a little baffling for the offering.

lets see...

big fugaly notch
no micro sd card
no 3.5 jack
small battery

come on google you gotta do better then that!!

Absolutely 100% not. That announcement was almost as bad as an Apple event one.

And that notch...Jesus H...

We all know how good Google software is. Cough, cough... *Google + security.

Not yet, however its impressive that an older Pixel 2 is still talked about in most forums and still considered a great phone by most Android blogs. Talk about longevity think about the last time you herd about MotoZ2 force.....(never). I have one, and switched to a Note....First note for me because I still hear people talk about notes and even though I am not sold on the Samsung buzz its the best for now. Thats how I roll!

How many people actually use the telephoto lens on the note 9 ? I'm always wanting that extra wide most of the time. That camera software on the pixels is killer though.
