Was really excited to use my new Pixel 3 overseas on vacation, but running into problems with hotel WiFi that require login via user portal.
I am able to log-in the first time fine in hotel lobby, but when I get to hotel room, indeed the signal weakens a bit, and subsequently the WiFi is simply ‘saved’ and when I press-hold to connect, it attempts to connects then just reverts to ‘saved’ and there’s no internet access nor does the login portal page return.
It’s quite frustrating as my other devices (friend’s iPhone, ipad, my windows laptop) all connect without such issues. The only thing I can think of is the WiFi signal is considered too weak by the pixel3 so doesn’t connect, while my other devices do not make such consideration (??)
I have tried the entire gamut of suggestions googled (restart device, reset all network settings, ‘forget network’ and try again, etc), but nothing seems to work

I have a work around in hot spotting from laptop to phone but i want my new pixel 3 to work as intended!
