Pixel 3's Black Friday Sale

Just FYI, Google was giving $315 for a trade in of a Pixel 2 XL just 4 days ago, no it's down to $255.

Of course this doesn't have ANYTHING to do with the upcoming BF price drops... Of course..

Ridiculous...

If VZW does a similar $300 discount BF deal this year that would be tempting. My OP6T arrives today so I'll have a few days with that before having to decide. The P3XL for only ~$100 more after tax might be the better deal.

I have a P2 single line with Fi. My trade in value went down from $300 to $225. Ughh.
Depending on Black Friday offers I may just jump over to T-mobile over 55 plan and get a OP6T

So I am thinking about ordering a Pixel 3 XL on Thanksgiving when they are $200 off.

But I was wondering if anyone heard if Google will have extended return period for the holidays like most places do?

The used average sale price of the 2XL has dropped from a month ago pretty much in line with the trade in price so I don't see an issue.

Meanwhile, they're offering over 15% more for a 2 year old, out-of-warranty iPhone 7+ than for a 1 year old Pixel 2 XL with a full year of warranty remaining and twice the storage...Comparison.png

I know Google's contracting that trade-in out, but they should put in a little subsidy to lessen the difference.

Lol that is funny. For the record, Apple will only give you $250 for the iPhone 7 plus and $225 for the Pixel 2 XL.

Best Buy rumored to have $400 off VzW Pixel 3 on Thurs/Fri only.

You know it's being handled by a third party but expect Google to subsidize the trade in offer? It's market value which may not make you happy but I don't see why Google should bump it up.

Lowest recently sold on Swappa is $365, but average price on even just the most recently sold is still over $400 - pretty close to where it was a month ago. Trade-in value isn't following the market (even taking into account the obligatory markdown that 3rd party needs to apply in order to make their acquisition profitable).

Last year the difference between a Pixel XL and iPhone 7 Plus wasn't much larger, and those were concurrent models.

I don't see why this is surprising. Going to a company to sell your used item vs. selling private party will almost always net you less. Trading in your car to a dealership or trading in your video game console to GameStop will usually get you less than selling those things on your own. I don't see why it would be any different for cellphones.

The avg price where?

You mean the value of a P2XL suddenly drops $60 in 4 days, coinciding with the BF week price drops?

Yeah... Sure buddy.

You're missing the point.

They where offering $315 as of last Wednesday.

$60 drop in less than a week?
