Pixel 4K Video Test = WOW

I read that the Pixel doesn't support stabilization in 4K videos, so I'm guessing this isn't real.
There are methods exterior to the shooting device to obtain stabilization. Using something known as a gimbal. If you watch the way the camera motion is done such a device would have had to been employed anyway. So the possibility exists this was from a Pixel.

I think this video could be shooted by pixel. Definitely with very expensive gimbal, but who cares? If it's true we have a new king

IMO, using a gimbal to showoff video performance is like false advertising. If I have to cart around a gimbal to get results like this, I might as well cart around a dedicated video camera, which would produce even better results.

If EIS worked for 4K videos, I'd much rather see a true representation of what users will get out of the Pixel.

The "no EIS during 4K recording" part? It was reported in the hands-on on Anandtech.

It also logically makes sense since 4K is far more taxing than 1080p in terms of processing power (4X as many pixels per frame). And since we know the 821 is the only SoC capable of using the phone gyro for 1080p stabilization that means that feature is bleeding edge.

It doesn't make sense tho. They could easily record the sensor data then apply the stabilization in post processing...even allow you to disable it and adjust strength. Nobody has 4k stabilization because they can't apply it in real time in the viewer. Which is pointless.

Looking forward to seeing the camera comparisons between this phone, the iPhone, and the V20.

Video is remove d? Broken link

It's broken link because it was fake.
I posted another topic regarding this if you can find it.
Original video shot with a 4k Panasonic camera with Nikon lenses. An individual decided to lead everyone to believe that the original video was shot with a pixel by editing out the intro and outro.

Still a great camera though
