Pixel 5 under display speaker

The 5 is a phone I might take a chance with for me. But my wife has hearing loss, so the possibility of a mediocre speaker isn't a chance we want to take.

I understand , your definitely right should go for what's best for her .

For phone calls, speaker phone or even consuming media / listening to music the speaker is super loud. I was comparing to stereo and fullness sound quality.

Yeah I experienced same .

I have no complaints its loud enough for me...I am not listening to music through it tho. I have a car for that.

Like I mentioned , I was prepared when I got the phone to have bad sound quality, but it surprised me , it's actually very good .

Yup.. I've heard the Note 2o Ultra and Pixel 5 so surprised with their scores.. But I'm no expert lol

Sounds good for my needs, don't get me wrong doesn't sound as good as the Pixel 3 XL, Pixel 4XL even the Pixel 3a sounds better, but over all just because it doesn't sound as good as those other devices doesn't mean it sounds terrible. Obviously if a phone has ear piece speaker facing you it will sound better. Over all the Pros out way the Cons for me with this device and I'm extremely happy.

I find it good , pixel 4xl louder but this would be a notch down from it and that's not bad .

After having another play with the 5,I've noticed speaker balance in accessibility doesn't really do much. Just makes the sound less fuller on one side. Not really evening it out. Mono definitely helps.
I know the 4 sounded great compared to the 5 but it's actually not bothering me anymore.
Maybe I will stay with a 5..hmm lol.
