Pixel 6 & 6 Pro screen protectors

I installed the LK TPU last night. Was pretty easy. Looks nice on my 6Pro. Time will tell how well it stays on, etc

I was fortunate enough to grab one of these film protectors. Although I know it won't protect drops, it'll protect against micro scratches which irritate me...lol... Works great with fingerprint too

Just received a Keepa notice that the TAURI [2+2 Pack] Compatible with Google Pixel 6 Pro 5G screen protectors are back in stock at Amazon, if anyone is interested. I no longer have a need for Pixel 6 stuff; but thought maybe someone else might.

I just got mine. Easiest screen protector application I've ever had. Flawless if you follow the video.

I understand completely! I feel like I, too, may be thinking about Pixel 6 land in a year or so...

The ONLY reason I'd swap to the Pixel 6 Pro is just because it's a Pixel and I've always loved the Vanilla Android on them (and their cameras)

But the Note 20 Ultra is such a capable phone and with the OEM screen protector; it's a great feel too when using it...

For now, it's staying with me. The Pixel IMO isn't an upgrade to it, yet...

Which LK screen protector is everyone using? I see the one with and without the lightning bolt between the letters. I'm trying to decide between these or the ArmorSuit.

I've always been partial to amfilm screen protectors (creature of habit). I am using these and haven't had any issues with the FPS (even before the latest update) and now works even better.

I also like the teardrop design cutout compared to the hole punch design of many others. Only thing is it doesn't include a cover for the back camera.

Anybody think it is necessary to have a screen protector on the back camera? I currently only have a protector on the display. I wonder how sensitive the camera glass is on the back even though I do have the Google case on that has a bit of a lip on the back. Just thinking any loose dirt in a pocket could scratch the glass on the back especially since it occupies such a large part compared to other devices.

I'm thinking for the most part you're going to be okay, especially with a case on. I've never really seen any scratches on any of my other phones in the camera area but I did order a few skins for my phone and when it comes in I might just run one over the camera area as well..

If you have a case the camera is already recessed and protected so I don't see a need for it.

I've seen that Supcase have released their rugged case with its buiult in screen protector here in the UK:

That'd sway me easily to a 6 Pro knowing it's well protected; just a shame I'm REALLY liking the new Note 20 Ultra I've got currently!

May re-think come the New Year ;)

IMO, no need to "upgrade" if you don't really have to. Unless you really just want the latest and greatest from Google. I don't see any real upgrade over the Note 20 ultra. Also the S22 ultra is looming. I'd definitely hold on till then before deciding on getting a P6 pro.

Nothing to do with needing to upgrade; I'm a gadget *****, I like new toys haha :D

But weighing up what I've got now N20 Ultra 256GB vs a Pixel 6 Pro; the Samsung still wins for me as its a damned good phone with a superb camera and currently, much better screen protection which is paramount to me

But I'll see where my heart leads me next year as I can get bored with gadgets quickly and like to change them out...

The S22 won't be of interest to me I don't think; I liked the S21 Ultra I had, but the N20 Ultra, for me, is a better phone

I've had a few of these.... Most notably, cell helmet. I honestly saw a difference on the slickness of the screen for maybe the first few days. Still got micro scratches, so my "dumba$$" finally realized it was more gimmicky after a few purchases and stopped buying....lol
Thanks for the reply. I decided against the gimmick and I went with a film protector from iQ Shield. It took a day or so to "settle in" from the wet application (screen was a little blurry in small spots-- probably my fault from the application process), but now it's great. I forget it's even there.

So... how are your TPU screen protectors holding up?

I frequently use the swipe input method on the keyboard. Keyboard falls in the area of the FPS. My TPU protectors tend to develop a wear area all around that part of the phone. I'm guessing it's the fingerprint-resistant coating is worn away? Also, see it to a lesser extent around the top half of the phone screen. You can wipe it down and polish it up but that lasts less than a day before the wear areas show again.

I replaced the screen protector, enjoyed that new look and feel, and then it all started happening again.

Maybe my fingers are too oily? They feel pretty dry and normal. Anyone else? (I mean anyone else experiencing this, not necessarily anyone want to speak to the oilyness of their fingers)

My TPU is like the first day installed ..I just wipe it down when smudges usually once a day or twice if I see it too much ..

My "UniqueMe" TPU screen protector from Amazon is amazing. Not sure what they did toake it so darned slick but it's like the bare screen, even after about 10 days.

On my Note 8, I used a different brand from Amazon for the last several months and they were sort of slick for maybe a day and then got sort of "draggy", not very slick. In addition to that, they'd get dirty over time which could be seen on a white screen.

I like this "UniqueMe" one so much, I'm considering getting another box just to have on hand, even though there are 2 in the box and they have a lifetime warranty. I really couldn't be more impressed with them.
