Re: Pixel 6 & 6 Pro screen protectors

I have this brand as well and it's pretty solid. I didn't even wipe my screen off at all. Just installed right after opening the phone.
That's the best time to install the protector. I've done that on plenty of other phones.. I use my own cleaning stuff as they were very cheap with wipes lol I couldn't stop laughing at how small the dry and wet wipes were in the package lmao.. but the install was made so easy..

Got this one from Amazon and it comes with a glass protector for the cameras. Super easy install and feels like the bare screen. I think I'll order more to have on hand.

[ 2+2 Pack ] UniqueMe Compatible with Google Pixel 6 Pro Soft TPU Sreen Protector + Camera Lens Protector with Installation Tool [No Bubble]【Not for Google Pixel 6】 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09797YKF...ag=hawk-future-20&ascsubtag=UUacUvbUpU7005801
I wouldn't be surprised if it's the same one as the LK exact same stuff in the box.. they probably all do the same thing with different names lol

Oh, I'm sure. It's exactly like some I got a few months ago for my Note 8, made the same way with same install procedure but different name. Probably one place making them and stamping different names at the end of the production line.

However, L K give you three camera protectors. Got a package sitting on my table. May use it, may not.

I'm not using that camera protector but let me know if any light flare indeed installed...

Hows it holding up? Does it cover the edges also?

Pretty foolproof application. No bubbles, etc. The edges stop just as the screen starts to curve. There's a gap, but with my Google case, it's hardly noticeable to the touch. I just returned from vacation where I treated my phone unlike a new, $900 device - in a napsack pocket with car keys, holding it at the beach with sand on my fingers. Protector is doing its job. Still looks great.

I would never add a piece of non-coated flare resistant glass to a lens and expect anything other than more flaring and in fact, a loss in clarity. Coating not only helps to reduce flare it also helps to keep contrast and color optimized I know on my Nikon lenses, B+W, Hoya are basically the only ones I used.

The TPU screen protector is, in my opinion, a necessity, especially for people like me who put their phone in their pockets. Prefer glass, but that looks like big no for this phone so a good TPU is required. Who know, I might be looking at glass for another phone.

I could not bear the weight of glass protector.

Quality TPU screen protector is the only way for me.
I just applied an expensive TPU screen protector and the touch is better with precision compared to the naked screen. (Not sure what people are banging on about FPS). I still can use it without even readding finger prints. The instruction on packaging box asked me to re-add finger print and I don't follow it.

On normal screen, the gesture and move is having rolling effect in other way we can say too swift. But that affect precision.

With the TPU screen, you will stop where you stop and no rolling effect.

So far experience with Panzerglass TPU on 6P6 is still a breeze.

Weight? I just took an extra glass screen protector for my 4XL and compared the weight to the new TPU protector for a Pixel 6 Pro and cannot feel a difference. Possibly, I'll take them out to my reloading shed and check on my digital scale but have way too much to do today.

The TPU is .1mm thick, the glass is .3mm thick. Believe me, you will never note the difference in weight.

Not sure about the rest of your post! Are you saying you don't have to use the FPS to open the phone? ("I still can use it without even readding finger prints")

However, it is a non-subject at this time since it appears the only glass protectors I can find all state they will NOT work with the Pixel 6 Pro due to the optical scanner.

I have used TPU protectors years ago, and they do a good job to protect from scratches, cheap and easy to replace. Some of us just like the glass, usually easier to install, last longer and do give some impact protection. But not a choice with this phone.

Weight is the perspective as you mentioned that. For my use, it still bothers me tiny bit.

From instruction TPU protector box, it says to re add finger print (as fresh finger prints) after applying the TPU screen. That's I mean by I did not follow the instruction. I am still using same scanned finger prints and it has no issue with lagging or delay.

I used to use Whitestone dome screen protector on my iPhoneX.
It started to chip off at edge and gave sharp look. They might possibly improve in quality department.
That's one of the reason not comfortable to use screen protector. Other than weight and that feature, I agree that glass screen protectors are great in terms of touch response.

I think he meant 're-adding' fingerprints (though I first read it as 'reading' too).

The only TG SP Google certified to work with the FPS is by Zagg (the "Glass Curve Elite for Google Pixel 6 Pro") but Zagg's product page link is dead as of the moment.

I have read the Zagg is supposed to work, I might order one, then again, I might order one for the S21 ultra; however, it seems odd it was suddenly not available after the 6 was starting to sell.
However, I have never seen a good explanation as to why a TPU will work but a glass will not work with the optical reader.

Re: Pixel 6 & 6 Pro screen protectors

Cool I just ordered this one. installation looks straightforward based on the video. Looking forward to it.
It really was very easy to install.. just make sure no lint on screen and you don't need to force the press over ..

If the LK TPU is as good as their class, then I will be happy since I have one sitting on a table to install. MY 4XL has had a LK class for 1.5 years and still no scratches.
