Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro beta

I am happy to stay on the feature drop beta. I got the March patch already and yesterday I got the camera update that gave me night sight in Snapchat.

I wish that Google would publish a detailed response to this. "They" certainly pulled a fast one on us Beta L testers, that's for sure.

Anyone else find that the lock screen shows up empty just a wallpaper with no scanner or time when clicking the lock button then having to close the screen and pressing it again to show everything as usual.

Nope.

I'm a little confused. My P6P build number is
S3B1. 220218.004. I was on the 12L beta. Does this mean I'm now actually on the QPR3 beta 1 feature drop? If so, I realize from this thread I cannot exit the beta without a wipe. Will we be given an exit opportunity in the future, and if so, when?

It really isn't clear that when the public stable version is released whether exiting the beta program will wipe the phone or not. Some people say yes while others say no.

T-Mobile (and I assume Verizon) Pixels have locked bootloaders. With reference to flashing a stable build (if you are in the beta program) - If you cannot unlock the bootloader how can you use the Android Flash Tool..

Ummm, same question

I don't claim to be an expert on this, but I thought Verizon (after a lawsuit I think a couple of years ago) now has to unlock the device either when it is paid in full or after 30 days if you pay for it up front. Now, this type of unlocking may be different that what is meant by unlock the bootloader. I'm not sure about that.

The only thing a locked bootloader prevents you from doing is flashing unsigned images. If it's a signed image, meaning if it's a image valid for your device you can flash using the tool.

OK. Now I am having a big issue with my calls. They either go silent on both ends of the call. Or they get interrupted with a horrendous screeching sound. Anyone else having this problem?

Having the exact same issues on my Pixel 6 Pro running 12L Beta whatever it is now.
I first thought the screeching sound was one of those missing person alerts.

Ok so it’s not just me then. Only since last update but it happened 3 calls in a row earlier

Where does one find this magical tool that can flash phones with locked bootloaders. If you look on the Android Flash tool website you see the following "Enable OEM Unlocking in the Developer options menu" and further " Some devices require carrier intervention to be unlocked. Contact your carrier for more details"
To summarize: It appears that if your phone is carrier locked, e.g., TMO or Verizon (i.e. not fully paid off) then it is locked and cannot be flashed

Seems to me that the "screeching sound" may be what I experienced once yesterday morning. I blamed it on a poor signal, as I was in an area that normally has terrible reception. Maybe there's more to it.
