Check out the colours on the back! Looks like the Pixel 2 XL met the Pixel 4. Awesome!

That article also says Max Weinbach confirmed the renders are accurate. Both he and prosser are reliable leakers.

Probably the Android authority writer is clueless, every leaker gets things right and wrong, but Jon Prosser (hate his attitude) has gotten many things correct. And Max also confirms so there is that. And we all know Google can't keep anything under wraps and most of their stuff will be out months before. So nothing surprising here. This is a probably how the phone looks, no complains though since it looks great.

Prosser does have a decent tracker record with leaks.

This is more than just old though, it's a butchered version of old. Google seems to have developed a special skill for messing this up. Last year's bizarre Pixel 5 leak with the goofy "face" camera bump was even worse.

Something to keep an eye on and see how it plays out with the official release

If this ends up being the design then the camera hump is a bit of a concern with respect to durability as well as the possible thickness of a case to make it flush with the device. Could end up feeling bulky. Again this is mere speculation based on these "leaks".

Otherwise, I'm kind of a fan of the design. It is ugly yet attractive at the same time. Reminds me of something that would be a concept from the 80's of what a future phone would look like. In a way it's nice to see Google somewhat take the place of LG with all these "interesting" concepts.

I'm an established Pixel fan soley based on the software experience (and the photo quality is still impressive). Right now the Pixel 4A has my heart but I would be curious to try a true flagship Pixel device again. Here's hoping for 120hz refresh rate.

I mean yeah, leak renders look awesome so far. We shall see what happens in the fall though, that’s for sure! For that camera bump on the back, it better be packing some seriously nice camera lenses! The design overall is super sleek, and very googly!
