pixel 6a pre-orders

Google Store screwed up the order - seems to be their MO - canceled order and got the last Chalk model at the local Best Buy which I picked up this AM - $50 store credit too.

Gots to charge it up then set it up.

And they got it back - while setting it up, it got a little warm and the launcher stooped working. That ended my 6a affair. Not too sad thought - it was too small for me after using the P6P.

I hear there was a update out for the 6a maybe if you kept it longer it would fix any glitches

Couldn't get it past the launcher not working screen to do anything.

Ok got my 6A. I can confirm that the fingerprint scanner works well, and doesn't unlock with any unregistered fingers. Scanner isn't much better than the one on the pixel flagship 6's though. Maybe just a hair faster.

Same here -- FPS does not have any problems with responding to unregistered fingerprints. FPS seems slightly slower than my 6 Pro, but I wonder if that will change after the first big update.

Overall, a nice little phone. Feels good in the hand, although the buttons feel a little too plastic and sharp-edged. I'm only using it as a wi-fi device right now, but it has not shown any signs of heating up excessively when watching videos or playing Asphalt 9. Speakers are surprisingly good.
