Pixel 8 cases thread.

I just received my Bellroy this afternoon and switched out my official google case.
I love both the Bellroy and the Google case.
The fit and finish of both is outstanding!
I actually like the feel of the Google case a little more but the Bellroy feels good too and will get better as it wears a little bit.
I had ordered an assortment of 7 cases from Amazon and I've already returned 5 of them. The other 2 are going back too and I'm set.
Highly recommend these 2 cases.

I have a Google Store $10 coupon if someone that’s a regular member on our forum which didn’t order from Google but wishes to use it towards a case or accessory …hit me up
I could actually use it for a Pixel Stand 2 charger (that's in my Google Store cart) since my old Samsung one doesn't work that well, BUT I did order my P8P from Google.

I have the Google Pixel case and like it, fits perfectly and decent grip. Maybe a little too perfectly as I have a hard time removing it.

I also have a Caseborne case with MagSafe and it fits well but is a bit too slick for my liking but I got it for when I am traveling out of the country so that I can mount it to a rental car vent (we own a home in Madeira, Portugal which has tricky navigation). However, the case does also interfere with charging in my Pixel stand (gen 2). Do all Magsafe cases interfere with stand charging?

I'm an electronics technician (for 35+ years) and anything metal between the coils of the phone and charger coils (wireless charging uses induction) can possibly cause issues, depending on the size and mass of the metal.

I've always found the Pixel stand to be a pain with cases with MagSafe.. usually any other stand I don't have any issues just Google lol

I haven't used the Thinborne, but I have the Mous Sueprthin Case that has MagSafe. I don't see any issues with charging on Pixel Stand.

Thats ironically the one I like the most... it offers the least protection, but it's also the slimmest case. Plus the texture feels very close to the frosted back glass, so it feels like I don't have a case.

Encased Falcon for my new Pixel 8P. Same brand for my 2XL, 4XL, 6P, and 7. Actually received the case before I received the phone. The case/holster makes the phone thicker, but it's a look I like.

Out of all the cases I tried, this one is my favorite. I sent all the others back and even bought a spare of this one.

This was my first try with a metal ring vs. a loop I usually put on my phone cases by modifying them. The metal ring/stand works pretty great but I really missed the loop style I've used for 6 or 7 years now. So, I modified this case like all my others on previous phones (and for a friend's phone as well).

I removed the metal loop, center cover and round steel insert that provided a magnetic attachment point. Then I cut slots in the case to accommodate some ¼" wide ribbon (up until now, I've always used paracord with the inner strands removed) because I wanted something as thin as possible but still quite strong and durable. Also, I wanted it as thin as possible to hopefully get some use out of my new Pixel Stand 2 charger that didn't work with the metal on the back of the case.

I used the same method as on previous phones, apply contact cement to the loop and case and fold ribbon over and then cover with some automotive trim tape.

As you can see in the last pic, I also put on some grip tape like I've done for decades on every phone case I've had. And my phone now charges perfectly on the Pixel Stand 2!

I did all this because my favorite phone case isn't out yet, the Incipio Grip. Once it's out (hopefully in a few weeks), I'll get one and modify it the same way and it'll become my daily driver.

I am trying to upload photos of my new case, but when I click to add photos, it says it needs permissions. When i go onto AC Forum App permissions, I only see Contacts & Notifications. In privacy - Permission Manager, I don't see the AC Forums App.

Got my Spigen Liquid Air which will be my "use it if I have no other option" case and a no name case pictured below that's actually pretty good. Might even be my daily driver once I get my phone in a couple weeks.

I really prefer to have some sort of ring or loop to put my finger through on the back of my phone and this one works well.

Does anyone have any suggestions for any other good finger loop cases you've had first hand experience with?
Got this. Wasn't sure I'd like the camera bar protector, but I do. Solid, great fit, different colors - 10 bucks! https://www.amazon.com/Google-Pixel...=pixel+8+pro+case+discover,aps,88&sr=8-3&th=1
