Pixel 8

Same here ... I'm in good with a grandfather T-Mo plan that they're going to have to pry away from me. I never qualify for their promos but it's ok.
I forgot they still have T-Mo stores... :D It's been at least 3 years since I was in one to pick up a free item.

Same here with us and AT&T... grandfathered in like YankinDaSouth

But we don't do carrier phones anymore..at any price, so I guess we get the cheap plan AND the last laugh
Only time I do carrier phones is when I can get them free or close enough to it. My Razr+ I pay 1.48 a month for it, otherwise I go for the unlocked non carrier. The only pixel phone I had that was carrier was the 6 pro, only because after the promo I got 49 cents credit a month on that deal. They actually paid me to take the phone. Ha

My issue with their promotions I can never qualify since they always want you on the high plan which defeats the purpose of getting a good trade in
This is what Verizon does as well. That's why I have been buying mine unlocked for the past few years.

I'll be curious to see how the 8 Pro does in reviews. Not that I'll be getting one as I just traded in my 7 pro for the S23 ultra. Which I'm very happy with. I hated the curved screen on the 7 pro. Glad they'll be going with a flat screen this year. Honestly though, I barely notice the curved screen on the S23 ultra.

The small curves of the phone doesn't bother me as well... I'm actually okay with either way and flat is cool... I'm curious to see how things shake out .... I'm totally okay with buying unlocked phones and just selling what I have to offset..

So, if I am reading everything right, the 8 Pro will be getting another reworked Exynos chip that may, or may not be better, and a flat screen. There may also be some camera upgrades. Anything else of substance?

The problems I had with the 7 Pro do not appear to be getting addressed. The biggest issue was the FPS and facial recognition failing most of the time. It looks like it will be the same on the 8 Pro. The signal and battery life are also not being addressed. Am I reading things right?

I know that we should find out more tomorrow, but I expect Google to focus mostly on the camera, and not mention any of these things. The 7 Pro has a good camera (although the video was not good for me), but I was really hoping that the issues I experienced would be addressed. I will be disappointed if they are not. Tell me I am wrong.

Tomorrow many will order the Pixel 8 of their choice
Some will get their phones before/after others who ordered before/after them
There will be no crying, whining, whimpering Pixel People about when they ordered/got phones
You ordered when you ordered, you get/got it when you get/got it
Get/got that?

Yeah, the leaks really haven't addressed whether 8pro will get an ultrasonic fps, have they?

Edit--TechTalkTV on YouTube is reporting that it's still an optical fps. :(

What? That happens?!

I will be upgrading my pixel 6 pro, but will be at work. Will order as soon as I can. I hope the reception is better, that's really my only complaint with my 6.
