Pixel owners how you feel new iPhone

I know you really wanted that watch/phone combo ... interested to hear how it all works out for you in the end.

Solid choice either way though.

Yeah it really hurt when no Pixel watch announced. With the iPhone I can admit the pluses I will get. Such as I will get iMessage with the parents for videos of my nephew and such. Facetime as well. I will then also get the watch with LTE so hard to resist (for me).

I know some of you are rocking both, how you feel about the new ones?

I don't think you can deny that Apple makes great hardware. And if it weren't for Apple, we'd still all be walking around with flip phones or limited electric organizers. But I will stick with my Pixel 2XL :-). The camera on this thing is insane. I took this night shot the other day and I'm still impressed after having the phone almost a year!

I have used Android since the Nexus 5 days and have had the Nexus 5x, Galaxy S6, S7, E7 Edge, S8, Pixel 2 and now the Galaxy S9. I pre-ordered the iPhone Xs. I've grown tired of Google's data-gathering and monetising shenanigans and decided I am prepared to pay more in order to remove myself from the Google ecosystem. I'm under no illusions that Apple doesn't gather data too, but I am more confident of its privacy and security policies and know that my data profile won't be used for all manner of commercial purposes. I also highly rate Apple's support systems, knowing I can walk into a local Apple Store and have any phone issues resolved one way or another. You do pay more, but I believe you get more in return.

I'm interested to see how you will like the iPhone XS. Let us know how the camera is as well.

Rumor has it that Apples builder, Foxconn will be building the new Pixels

All of the top tier phones are over a thousand so I'm not sure it always requires paying more for Apple

The Apple service is good, much better than Samsung. I just don't like the new phones at all. I loved my 6s for a while. But I prefer my Pixel 2 XL. It has been smooth and fast and I love customising it. I just couldn't do that with an iPhone.

Just got a shipping notice from Verizon for my iPhone X S Max. My watch doesn't come for another week or more :(.

I'd find it a little difficult to put my trust in a site called "daringfireball". :)
Lol! It's better than it sounds. There are some links at the end of the article to other photos taken with the Xs. The site went down a while ago - not sure if it's back up yet.
