Pixel XL 2 full screen problem!

Help! Out of nowhere my Pixel XL 2 decided to stop going full screen when playing videos through chrome. The Nav bar goes white and stays on the side, as well as a white line underneath the top notification bar.

Looks like Chrome hasn't been updated recently (December 2017) so that's not it. Have you installed any applications related to media playback recently? Or had any updates to such apps?
If you post a link to a video where you're seeing that problem I'll give it a shot, but I don't normally watch videos within the browser.

Yep same here with my pixel 2 XL after 3 versions of chrome and still no fix.

Anyone has a solution?

To fix your problem, try this: Go to "Settings", "Display", "Advanced", "Display size", and set it to "Default".

This worked for me as of May 2018 for the Pixel 2 XL.

You can change the font size setting without issue. It's the display size setting that seems to be the culprit.
