If you are a long time customer you can usually call or chat and get it waived.
Truth - I've done it.

so I just checked my local best buy and they will not price match and they are not supposed to price match at all through the holiday season. this came from the inventory manager. That being said, he did try to work the system but wasn't able to make it work.

Im curious too, I checked their website and it didn't say they wouldn't. Oh well, ill just order from google on sunday and have it shipped.
My plan too - take the $200 savings and stop driving myself nuts over price match deals. May trade in P3 if they offer a trade in deal on top of the 200 off.
If I don't like the deal, I'll keep the P3 as a back up phone.
Current trade-in value

FYI, the $300 off at Best Buy is a down payment and not spend over the length of a contract. So why would people buy from Google and only get $200 off?
Smart move. Trade-in is easier, but if you don't mind dealing with the sales process you'll do a lot better selling it. Here's what the 3 has actually been getting on Swappa:

Because I don't buy anything carrier related though it's fine if it's a Pixel or iPhone since they don't let useless carriers cripple the phones with carrier firmware. One reason is carrier version is bootloader locked which might matter for some people. And there is activation fee for carrier version, so it's like $260 off if it's Verizon if you take into account the rip off activation fee they add.FYI, the $300 off at Best Buy is a down payment and not spend over the length of a contract. But yes if you don't care about those kind of stuff then best buy deal is better. You might as well wait for the $400 off deal on black Friday from best buy.
That'll be the $400 off for carrier devices or $200 off for unlocked models.I spoke to a best buy manager and he said there is a deal for black Friday.
