They've been having a "pre black Friday sale" for almost 2 weeks now. Some of the items have been at BF prices since then. But, the doorbusters and higher value items don't go on BF sale until the 28th, aside from the daily doorbusters deals.

So the other person was probably able to get "Black Friday prices", simply because it was put on sale early. I bought a pressure cooker from there during this time for the "Black Friday" price, but doesn't mean the actual Black Friday sale is active yet.

Agreed. For me, the BHPhoto deal is only $100 more than the BB deal, for a bootloader unlocked phone and no contract. Probably worth the extra $100.

BB - $800 - $400 + $62 (tax) + $40 (activation) = $502
BHPhoto - $800 - $400 + . . . nothing = $600
