Plan to get the Pixel 3 / 3 XL?

The bloke spends on himself and gives the little wife his castoffs! My husband always lets me get a new phone when I need one.

Mine really doesn't care about technology or what's new. As long as her phone runs fine she's happy.

I liked that phone alot , sold it to a friend of mine .Huawei makes beautiful phones and it showed it with the nexus 6p dont like their software tho.

I just got my P2 XL about a month ago. Only paid $225 after $300 discount and trade in. So as long as it's trouble free I'll keep it at least a year. May even go two years. Nothing about the P3 has me interested enough to get one anytime soon.

I agree with you. I love buying unlocked. My last two phones were purchased unlocked and outright and I paid them off way faster than I would have, had I purchased them from my carrier.

I normally buy my phones outright but for this phone it was actually cheaper for me to buy the phone on a plan.

Kate can have whatever she wants. However she couldn't care less about technology. Her phone before this one was an ancient flip phone that only made phone calls. I've dragged her kicking and screaming into the smart phone world. Her using a Google phone was the only way the two of us could get on to Google Fi. And THAT she wanted to do to cut our monthly phone bill from $140 to $35. She has now become addicted to "OK Google" and marveling at the capabilities. My current project with her is acclimating her to the usefulness of Microsoft OneNote. We're taking it one step at a time.

I just picked up a used xl today and I can't believe how nice of a device it's is. I would definitely pick up the 3 if I need another device this device is just as good as my X if not better.

I guess I am the anomaly here. LOL. Doug is not techy at all. I am super geek. I actually fixed an iPhone 6 and 6s over the weekend. I fixed my 6s which needed a new battery and the 6 needed a new screen and battery and that involved changing the home button to keep touch ID. I was pretty proud of myself as these 2 phones would have cost around £200 or more to fix at a repair shop and I did it for £33 including postage.

Doug is happy as long as his phone is fast, has a good screen to watch tv on and fast enough to play his games without lag. He had a Note 4 for 3 years and then briefly had a Pixel XL before getting the P2XL after he saw how gorgeous and smooth mine was.

To be honest he does like the latest tech when he is buying a new phone every few years but allows me to get whatever tech I can justify needing. Since I am disabled and can't get out to work or do much that requires being off the sofa, he tries to keep me occupied. So I fix things and have made the house as smart as possible. I am a computer software beta tester, phone beta tester etc. Anything to stop me going stir crazy from boredom I guess.

Hey, whatever works! I must admit that if it would have been cheaper for me to buy my Pixel 2 with a plan, perhaps I would have gone for it. But my carrier wasn't really doing much to away me at the time.

My 2XL has already gone to my Son as his S6 was playing up so I got myself a P20Pro...really really good phone and I`m enjoying it a lot ...BUT...I`ll still be taking a hard look at the 3XL and will get one if I like it

That's a beautiful phone the pro...how you like the camera/battery life ?

Battery life is amazing, at the end of a "usual" day I can have around 60% battery left whereas my 2xl would be around 45%..camera is superb, my only slight gripe is the 2xl is better as a point and shoot camera but if you can spare a few seconds with the settings the p20 pro just has an edge on picture quality.
