Planning to build a ROM,

I am planning on putting on an Apron and Chef's Hat and baking a ROM, What Functions do you want to be included and What should I name it? Please tell me anything I should do, even little things.

I was switching between four rom's( nROM, TR, aosp and scott pilgram, of which now is cut down to 3), because I liked features of all of them. But I found myself spending most of my time on aosp and scott pilgram because of the notification bar with power widget and the cm settings allowing me to use menu button as unlock and getting rid of slide/rotary unlock and also music controls on lock screen. I have tried using dsixda's rom kitchen to cook my own tr rom with cm settings to no avail ( i have no clue as to what I'm doing when I play with the kitchen .... just trying to learn whatever my brain can learn!) If you can cook a rom like nameless( which I love so far, just can't get over not having cm settings...) with cm settings.....

Let me make sure I am hearing you right, You want me to make a CM7 ROM, and include the look and feel of Nameless ROM? Because that is a good Idea, If I can do it...

You may have a tough time as CM7 is not built from LG source. Nameless is. So small things like bluetooth and such are not working as seamlessly as one can desire. Not a bad thing, as they are freeing the device from LG's clutches with CM7 and AOSP 2.3.3, but small annoyances like that can really sour the user experience. If you can pull it off, that would be awesome, but I think you may have a steep road to walk. Best of luck.

Would it be Possible to develop a ROM based off of LG source, and eventually rebuild it with CM7 when I'm more confident? or would that be to confusing? What would YOU want in a ROM? would you prefer CM7 or LG source?

I like the features of CM7 but the stability and full function of LG based ROMs. I want the best of both worlds, but sadly I don't think I will get it. :'(

Actually, was looking for a TR or Nameless ROM with cm settings. Or a fully working cm7( guess we will have to wait for that "promised" lg gingerbread update.......). I love the look and full functions of LG based ROM's but miss the cm settings....the ROM itself doesn't really matter all that much to me, but i really prefer lockscreen music controls and menu button unlock( among a couple other tweaks that come with the cmparts.apk). When I need to to use bluetooth a lot, i switch over to (now) Nameless..... Good luck in what ever you are able to come up with! More than happy to be your guinea pig when you have something to be tested!

edit* powerbar in notification bar is also a big plus


(of course cm7 with the look of TR, nROM, Nameless would be cool too!)
