play store is acting up

Well I simply go to play store, search for an app I want to download and when I'm tapping on the "install" button it tells me to check the internet connection....help

When this happens, are you connected to the internet via WiFi or via mobile network? Are you certain you have an active internet connection?

doesn't matter if it's wifi or mobile data, same result

Sorry for the delay... Try clearing the Play Store app's cache:

Settings->Apps->Google Play Store
Force Stop
Storage->Clear Cache

Try again and let me know what happens.

nothing's changed....I tried that time changing stuff too but then I had to log in google accounts and it didn't work...now I'm kinda scared to try anything but I'm tired of downloading apks

You could try clearing cache and data for the Downloads Manager and Google Services Framework apps.
