clear cache of palystore in you app settings...

settings>apps>playstore>clearcache

this surely works...

I had the same problem. It is a Google Play Store issue
Goto Settings > Application Manager > find Google Play Store
Clear cache & Clear Data & Force Stop & ( Do not Uninstall Updates )
Go back to Google Play Store and search & download something.

Takes days to download

Ok i cant why cant i cuz it takes days and days to download apps gosh ok this is wat happened me and my sister was watching a movie and her rca 4.4.2 android version so we was watching a movie and she got mad and unstall kik messenger so i desided to download it back so i download it it and we went out side for 5 to 8 hours so we came back in and i looked on her tablet and went on google play store and the app was still downloading i was loke what theeee and then i left it to download we agreed we wont get kn it for 8 day so then the 8 days was over wotch is today so then i looked on it and it waa still installing i thought it wasthe app that wont install so i decided to get sum else n
But still it wont so i decided to shut it down and still csn you help me it would mean the world if u did plz help if sum body kniws my problem plz help

Location : Delhi, India

ISP : Airtel Broadband

Modem : D-Link 2730U

Phone : Galaxy S4 Mini , Moto G (3rd Gen) , Galaxy ACE Nxt

1. When connecting to your Wifi Connection , there are will be 2 Options available below Password Field

a. Show Password

b. Show Advanced Options

Select “Advanced Options"



2. In IP Settings Dropdown , Change from “DHCP” to “Static”

3. Then Enter the following details

· IP Address : 192.168.1.128

· Gateway : 192.168.1.1

· Network Prefix Length : 24

· DNS 1 : 8.8.8.8

· DNS 2: 8.8.4.4

IP Settings could be different in your region



Then Just Connect and try Downloading / Update an App from Google Play Store. I hope it will work for You.

I, too, am having the same issue with google play. Sometimes, the play store wants to download/update apps while other times it don't. Apparently, millions of other android users, including me, are experiencing the same or similar issues. I hope that Google will listen to us users and fix this issue.
P.S. I think that the issue is either Google or google play, not the user.

RESOLVED: After suffering myself with Play Store issues for 2 months I have come to the conclusion that there is no issue with the phone or play store and the issue is with Push Notifications. When PN is not working the Play Store will hang halfway downloading or updating apps. Even outgoing messages will not be through. Simply confirm that the PN is working by downloading PNF, Push Notification Status & Push Notification Tester. Never turn off Hangouts and google messenger although you may not be using it. Whenever Push Notification is Ok Play Store ok. Facebook, Whatsapp & Viber have their own system for PN but all other apps use Google Cloud Messaging (GCM).

I also had the same problem for 2 days. I couldn't download apps or update my installed apps. Then I found out that the problem was because of my mistake. In App Traffic Control (data usage for apps) I had turned off the Play Store mistakenly. After turning it on everything is fine, apps are updating automatically and I could download new apps.

To keep a long story short, I had decided to start using an older Android phone of\my wife’s. So I decided to factory reset it so I could start fresh on it. Well after it restarted it immediately being to ***** about not being able to connect to server. Then when I open the play store everything I tried to download was Error retrieving information from server. I tried everything I could think of but nothing worked. Then hitting the forums and trying everything listed in them at least 10 times. So I was about to just give up then my little voice said try this one last thing and to my surprise it WORKED. Everything was working, updating and downloading. Here are the step to what I did.
1. Remove all accounts and yes this means do a factory reset
2. Restart the device
3. After start up DO NOT and I mean DO NOT create, link or sign in using your google account info. Hit skip this step and let the device fully start up.
4. After is has started and you have a data connection open the Play Store
5. At this time NOW sign in with your google account info.
6. Just sit back and enjoy watching the updates come zooming in.
I don’t know why this worked or how but it worked. I am posting this so that others who are as frustrated as I was, might have a chance at PEACE. May this post save others and lead to calm.

I had the same issue for months.

Moments ago, I went into Play Store, selected the Options Menu (3 bars on top left), selected My apps, and I seen that 2 downloads for apps were in progress but incomplete. I cancelled both downloads, went back to the main page or Home, and successfully downloaded an app.

I tried everything and it didn't work for my new S7, but it turned out to be an issue with my router. I did not have the correct DNS settings. I used two of Google's public DNS and the phone was able to download apps.

yesterday i formatted my sd card and phone memory too. then i unimstalled some major apps like facebook,skype,viber everything then started my phone .But, what i faced is my google play store isnt downloading any apps instead it is updating some apps available in my phone that also randomly. But none of the apps are updated . can anyone please help me out to solve this problem. my device is Gionee M2
