Play Store won't open

I have tried to open the play store on my Samsung 4 tablet version 5.1.1 but it won't. So then I have reset it, then cleared the app data, I have done a totally reboot. But nothing it keeps on saying connection timed out. My server is working I can surf the net but I just have no play store connection. {[<_>]}

If it's stuck on an old version of the app store then you will get that connection timed out message.
What you can do is download a better version or another version that you know is working.
