Pleasantly Surprised!

I just received my 2750 mah extended battery from Verizon and I must say I don't know what all the negative hype about the battery making the phone look so huge is about , IMHO of course I think the hump makes the phone look and feel more sturdy I even like the look, to me it's attractive, Don't stone me lol as I stated it's MHO. I am now charging the battery, don't know how long that will take but I must say I am extremely excited to see just what this battery can do. Now I only wish there was a case for it other than that tacky cut out one that pedia is selling. Moderators I don't know if this thread should be moved to Accessories, If so my apologies.

I cant wait to use it, How long does it normally take to charge extended? and is there a certain way that I should charge it? Any info will be appreciated. Also how much batter life do you get with it?

I just charge it normally. I think it takes 2-3 hours. Mine lasts 20-38 hours depending on usage.

Maybe it looks good and last longer but I believe Htc releases phones with weak batteries and this force some people to spend more money when the correct one should come with a $ 600 cell phone.

Wow Great battery life, do you charge while using or no? I guess thats a dumb question if I want full charge I guess I can't use it. I am just so excited lol. Thanks again Chrisy

I agree with you, I am just happy that I was able to get this free since I was on the verge of cancelling my account, I had good battery life with stock until update. no use having a phone I cannot use.

I'm glad you told me because I was going to turn my display up lol use live wallpapers, thought I could take full advantage with extended lol. I am like a kid in a candy store.

I did that at first too. You still have to watch battery usage if you're not going to be around a charger. Just not as much. I have my brightness at 100 when I'm using my phone in bright sun.

The random reboots do drain my battery now though. Hope that's resolved.

I had bought the extended battery on impulse when I bought the phone on Day 1 after heard the manager tell the rep that they had only three in stock. I never had to use it until the recent update which made my battery start draining rapidly. I like the extended battery and my only complaint is that the car cradle does not support extended battery.
I may now go back to regular battery since my battery life again got a lot better miraculously after I had the first (and so far, the only) random restart last night. Tonight I am changing back to regular battery tonight and see if my luck with battery life still holds as I like to keep my phone in the car dock when I'm driving... And I have long commutes to and from my work. I would keep using the extended battery only if it fitted the car dock.

That's the only downfall, no case, I had no choice but to get it because I was getting only 2 hours of battery life at most since update, I miss having a case, can't wait until one that is actually made right comes out.

I'm not clumsy with my phones but accidents do happen! I dropped my BlackBerry quite a few times. I opted for insurance on this device.

I wish Case Mate would make an extended battery Pop case. I love this case but any given day when I leave the house I'm always having to decide if I want the Pop case, or the bigger battery.

Someone need to make an extended case that is worth buying quick, don't they read the forums? I wish I knew how to make cases, I would make a fortune lol.
