I've been using a popular app called File Manager+ on my Android Phone for over 10 years straight. It has never messed up a single time in 10 years. I was using it to listen to music saved on my phone today, like I do everyday. Then suddenly, once I tapped on the song it gave me an error that says "Mediaplayer Error 1 (-2147483648)". It won't play the songs effected by the error, but it will play other songs. I have like 9000 songs saved on my phone, so I don't know exactly how many are effected. But like I said before, I used this app for 10 years without a single problem ever happening. So the weirdest part, is why did it instantly just start acting up. Nothing has changed. Most importantly, does anyone know how to fix this error? My android specs are below:

Google Pixel Smartphone 9
Android version 16
Build number BP4A.260105.004.E1

FYI, here's the contact info for the app developer: app.support@alphainventor.com
THANK YOU VERY KINDLY!!!! I did email the app developer and told them everything. I also gave them all the specs of the app and my android phone to help them diagnose it. We will see if they have a solution. I hope so because I use the app non-stop everyday. As I mentioned before, I used the app for 10 years without a single error ever happening. That's the most frustrating part. It's perfectly fine for 10 years then BOOM, it instantly starts acting weird for no reason.

Try clearing the apps cache then Force Stop it , also try a reboot.
Yes I did try that. I cleared the cache and all data of the app and rebooted my android. To be perfectly honest, I didn't think it would work at all. But to my surprise, it actually fixed the error temporarily. The app started playing music again. But 2 seconds later, the error was back and songs wouldn't play. But I just emailed the app developer to explain the issue and ask for a solution.

So, the large minus number within the Mediaplayer Error 1 (-2147483648) . That is the largest negative value of an INT data type. If I had to guess, one of the values for the program exceeded what it was expected to handle.

You've used the app for 10 years. Did you have all 9k songs on the device?

Let's see what they say but this app seems like a file manager not for playing music from what I was reading in app description, wouldn't you need something like VLC player?

Yes it is a file manager app. I love it and I've used it for 10 years because it lets me control all my music, photos, and document file from 1 simple app. So it's just very convenient and the interface is super easy to use. I don't need anything like VLC player. I've always assumed that the app has some kind of media player built-in into it. Or the app uses the media player that comes automatically installed with the smartphone. All I really know, is that I just need to tap on a song and it instantly starts playing.

I'm not sure what "INT Data Type" means? I'm a real novice when it comes to technical things and software. Are you able to explain in lame men terms so my dumb brain can understand? Lol. To answer your other question, I haven't always had 9K songs on my smartphone and I didn't always have the same smartphone of course. I upgrade my phone to a newer model about every 2 years. I used to be with Samsung Galaxy phones, then I tried switching to Google Pixel phones. I probably had 5K or 6K songs like 10 years ago. Over the years, I've added thousands of songs. But I've had 9K songs for quite awhile now, probably for 2 or 3 years.
