The issue isn't that there will end up being a problem with the battery, but that if power is left to run through the water trapped in the device it can damage the electronics.
If you didn't do this immediately you may be hosed. You want to remove any power source from electronics that get wet. Then worry about drying them out.Usually for the best results you need to pull the battery as soon as possible

I think you should have let it dry longer. Any damage you see now is likely permanent.Its been like 24hours now the phone is able to turn on but the notification bar at the top when u pull it down, its not working for me do you guys think the phone might still be wet on the inside? or its just dont work becuz of the water?
The screen is very unresponsive
