It wasn't really anything you did but flash a ROM that was having some bugs. It happens. I did the same thing but was able to flash back to the ApeX backup I had. Without a backup of your stock OS, it is gone. It can be recovered by flashing an SBF of the stock OS but it is easier to get you running on a good ROM and tackle the SBF down the road. ApeX is a solid ROM and will give you a better feel for a custom ROM.

I dont mind using a custom rom honestly, just to have the phone reboot 4 times a day is a bit much..

I just want to be able to use the device as I was with the stock ROM and some perf enhancements wouldnt be a bad thing either..

how do I do that flash of the stock of with that SBF? is that involved?

OK, the SBF is pretty involved and would require you hooking up your phone to a computer and installing it that way. I'll find a link for those instructions, but I haven't done that before so I wouldn't be much help there. There is one more thing we could try. See if you can get your phone to shut off where it's at now.

isnt there a way to , when I startup the phone to force it to go into like a mode where I can locate a .zipped rom for it to install?

I come from a windows world..so this is news to me..I guess you can tell I have no clue what im doing with this droid...lol

you will need to be on permenent root. It can still be unrooted. Did it finally go through or did you restart your phone?
