plus vs ultra

The options are all laid out there that's for sure. Again, everyone is different. If someone has lived with a S7 for for 5 years I'm sure even the s21 would be a great upgrade, they aren't to concerned with the best,,

I'm not telling you what is the way to go, just telling you me...just conversing
Just me, i tried switching to 1080p resolution and i could not stand it. People might be fine with that, but i am bit picky...lol

The PPI on the plus is not near good enough. And I don't buy this notion that PPI doesn't matter. I can always tell when I move between iPhone and Samsung because the iPhone text is always an adjustment. In the wrong direction. And in the case of the Plus it's even inferior to the Pro Max 12. Hard pass.

Guys, this phone is for as 68 year old man that knows nothing about buying things online. I'm pretty sure the plus is good enough for him, he would rather keep his money in the bank.

Truck I'm sure things will work just fine.....if he's 68 he has wisdom to match his eyesight....or not....
:D

I sure hope you're right. Glad you were able to tell me that. I pondered the fact it could be the end of the world, but you reassured me that it won't be. You sir are a lifesaver.

Truck, you were too quick on the reply as I edited my post. It was real cool on preview where I decreased the font size to nothing but it didn't turn out that way when it was published. C'est la vie. Hope things work out but jeeze man if he's 68 he needs an Ultra IMO. Unless he's had cataract surgery already and his eyesight is probably better than either of us.

OP, please update here on this thread about the decision you take, whenever that is. Since we all provided you some input, so just interested to know.
My 2 cents: if you are fine with paying a little more, do switch to Ultra.

Clear difference between FHD+ and WQHD+ to me on S21 Ultra.

I'm just having fun, I'm leaving laughing faces. We don't always have to be serious. He's my father in law.. I wouldn't buy this phone, but he chose to.

Ha! I know a little about eyesight after 60 because I am over 60. My avatar is fake. I got it here.....

It's a cool site I recommend to visit during idle times. Just refresh and you'll see what I mean. In all seriousness, good luck on his choice.

Hi DominonRoofs, see if you regret having a son in law like truck, learn from that mistake and get S21Ultra

I know, I'm rethinking my sanity in letting him get the s21 over the note. I'm going to look into that tonight, ll the note will be a better phone in the long run for him.

When phones went from 1080p to 1440p back in 2014 I couldn't tell the difference unless I held it close to my eyes for VR. The difference on a monitor is obvious, but not a tiny screen. At least not for my eyes. To each their own I guess. Lol

I have to agree with you on a small screen it's overkill IMO.

I would probably prefer the + due to the lighter weight a little smaller size. I have the 11 pro max with a case and when you get old and your stomach starts sticking out you don't want this phone in your pants pocket trust me.

Slowly considering a fanny bag for EDC.

Ultra for me...I was a note user as well, but not huge spen user, however when sitting on couch or in bed I liked using it so set up works for me, just leave it on nightstand...also like camera and 120hz, battery life has gotten really well for me as well, much better than note 20 ultra.
