PM appears only via email after 21 hours.

An interesting PM has not appeared in my Messages.

I want to verify if the new sender is a member, or as stated, with a related site. I suspect I am not the only member to receive this PM.
The email is kosher, the link sends me to my Messages inbox, but the message is not there.

I sent 2 PM's to an AC 'Friend' 3 months ago and she only saw the first in an email.
I think this has been an ongoing thing.
Some quoted posts take a while to register on the site also.

ADDED: So I can't reply, the sender will think I chose not to reply, and Private Messaging doesn't work!

You're saying the Private Messaging system isn't working for you at all?

- you can send PM's, but do not receive notification of new PM's received? (or there's a huge delay)
- you can't REPLY to a PM received?

Trying to narrow down the issues you seem to be having so we can investigate.

Sure. Thanks. I had not previously experienced this but one of my first PM's apparently never arrived but 'she' replied to me in PM's saying she only saw the email. She saw my subsequent 1 or 2 PM"s in Messaging I think.

I received a regular PM email now 45 hours ago, giving the text of the PM but not the member ID. The email link took me directly to my Message inbox. It looks normal. I deleted previous PM emails so don't remember if emails state the member id. This one doesn't.
It is an interesting email, but may cause AC/MN concern, I don't know. It may have been sent to more than one member.
As I have no message or id to reply to reply to, it may remain a mystery.
I can send it to you privately. Just wondering why I get an email to go to a pm, and the pm text as normal, but no way to respond.

Another small inconsistency to maybe be noted. I decided to click 'report' on a post in a thread while on Tapatalk. I went to the desktop site in a browser shortly after and had 1 'New' 'quoted' post, sent I think within a minute of my sending a report (I rarely send any reports btw! )
The quote was from Darth Spock who I know is a Moderator etc. (didn't he change his name).
When I click on the quote link it takes me to the standard noobie / unable to write in this thread message. (shots below).
I think the post is gone, and I have no PM from Darth Spock.
No reply needed. Just another FYI. Thanks.
