Black Or White

Re: POLL: Black or White?

Black. Because this is not Apple.

Irritated that all the adapters/accessories that came with it are white though.

So black iPhones don't exist? Huh, odd because I see them all the time....

Re: POLL: Black or White?

I have a few days left to exchange my phone and I am really tempted to exchange the black for the white. I like both but the white is so clean!

Re: POLL: Black or White?

Black for me. Not a fan of white, it gets dirty too easily and black is more professional.

Also, the white Verizon S5 is not soft-touch like the black. If I had ordered one online I'd be pretty annoyed about that.

See I don't get that. I have Verizon and have had both versions. I picked the white, had issues and when they were out of the white when I exchanged it so they gave me black. Both backs felt the same to me. I know its a common complaint but I wonder if I either didn't notice the difference or Best Buy is different and there is no difference lol.

Re: POLL: Black or White?

I keep changing just few Super Phones ago like nexus 5, Samsung Galaxy Note 3, etc., all in black. Now my Samsung Galaxy S5 and Sony XPERIA Z2 are both white.

It would be boring to not switch up.

I have both the black and the white (one is my personal one is for work) and the backs feel the same to me.

I'm not using the S5 right now, but when I used not colors, I preferred black. For some reason I found it easier to focus on the screen when the phone was black, find the color more professional, and think that the black phone feels better in the hand than the white one.

Always Black or I don't buy it...

Anything else is not acceptable, too gaudy or gets dirty, or looks to much like a child plays with it.
I want a professional looking appearance.

I had my white note 3 for 7 months and it was still out of the box white when I sold it. I guess it depends on the environment you are in and the case/screen protectors you use.

Also the whole black is more professional is silly. I had all black phones until I switch it up when I got the Note 3. The notion black is more professional is an opinion, just like white is for girls.

I got the white. the pearlescent shine on the battery cover got me.
The only phone I would never own is a pink one. Hate pink.

I got the black one, I preferred white on my Note 2 but I thought the black looked better for the S5

Yes, I suppose it is opinion. Just as it is also opinion that a shirt and tie is more professional than a t-shirt and flip flops.

Personal opinion is quite different than cultural stereotypes and expectations. And just because something is a stereotype does not mean it is set in stone and a major thing to break. But that doesn't mean they don't exist.

Oh those stereotypes definitely exist and I completely agree. I just don't think someone looks at someone else and says "OMG he has a white phone he is so unprofessional!"

Don't know how a sleek while phone can look gaudy. You obviously aren't from Texas...and if you're not you won't get the comparison <g>
Good thing I don't get dirty and I'm not a professional. Love my white phones! :)

I have had a black phone for the last 10 years. I needed a change.
