Poor camera quality

I found a few more settings using Camera ZOOM FX. Its $3 on the market but it gives you a huge list of options like burst mode and 1click upload to Facebook,Twitter, etc.

Also tried Vignette - I think $5 which takes nice pictures but takes longer to process.

took this yesterday morning

Seriously??

My camera on my phone is great I dont understand maybe its within your phone but my camera is fine and umm if you want a better quality buy a real camera.

thanks wado1, didnt do anything special here. Just used the default settings. haven't played with it yet. i have to agree with apollooff, as with any camera, its always about the correct lighting

Clean your lens?

That thing is fingerprint prone with and without a case.

Cut a small piece of microfiber and carry it with you to clean to smudges off the lens.

You think that photo looks "great"?? Looks like most of my photos....out of focus and blurry. While the colors are nice it's not that sharp....same as most of the photos I've seen posted that have been captured by the EVO.

Seriously people, the fan boy glasses some of you are wearing must be autocorrecting the blur in the photos because they are anything but "great", even for a cell phone camera.

I guess I'll keep playing with the settings and see if it gets any better.

Take the plastic off.

i dont think there is plastic on my lens and i dont wanna try to peel sumthin that is not there! then ill really scratch my lens. From the looks of it,u have to be out doors or in a place with alot of light for the camera/camcorder to be smooth.

had the same oppinion until i read a comment further back. aim it tap what you want to take a pic of, let it focus and then tap the button to take the pic.

I think pictures will look crappy if you don't know what your doing...look at some of these samples pretty decent for a camera phone.

Outstanding collection. You have an artist's eye, and good camera skills, which helps to enhance the capabilities of the camera. With this group, and a couple of others I've looked at, I'm convinced that the EVO has an exceptional still camera in a variety of environmental conditions.

That's not to say any individual camera might not be defective, or how it well it might do videos, but I'm very impressed so far

Nice pictures.........quality looks pretty good to me, even @ original size.
