So how is your 4G coverage ?

I'm in KC and I can not get it to work inside work or at home ? Outside it's ok a little skecthy. Loving the phone though.

Do the maps show you have 4G coverage? I get great indoor signal in midtown/downtown KC. Don't vote for poor coverage if the maps say you shouldn't have it.

Edit:

Attention everyone with 4G... don't use the Android speedtest apps as they don't test 4G very well. See the first post below. Even with 1 4G bar, I get get 4Mbps and up to 7Mbps with 2-3 bars.

As far as Houston and early Clearwire markets, they may not have enough backhaul upgraded yet. With newer markets, they are using 30-40Mbps microwave backhaul and 100Mbps wired backhaul. In early Clearwire markets, it was much less and they are in the process of upgrading. Give it time.

no 4g coverage here they actually told me that before i bought the phone

I sit by a window and get 2 - 3 bars in Chicago. When I go deeper into the building it drops to 3G, but that's to be expected. WiMax doesn't penetrate buiildings very well. I'll see how it does outside once I leave for the day (I'm in the office).

I am getting it at my house in South Austin. Coming from a blackberry it feels like light speed compared to my 8330m. My goodness how did I survive before today? I am loading full web pages faster than my old one loaded just text.

Nothing in Miami yet- although I hear the network is up for a few hours each day. Beta starts next month.

Don't use mobilespeedtest.com as it shows low results. Download the Speedtest app from the Market.

Any place we can check 4G coverage nationally? I've been told by many different sources that Orlando is getting it later in the summer, but I'd like to keep track of it.

After rebooting and re-activating, I now have 4g access! The speed test resulted in twice the download speed as 3g, but only half the upload throughput.

Downtown KC in my office is great, condo is ok but I have a low unit made of brick so understandable...was just on the plaza and had an ok signal. At the zoo last night I couldn't get 4G.

4G coverage letdown (DFW)

Prior to purchase of my EVO I checked out the Sprint coverage for 4G in my area.

Sprint - Nationwide Coverage

I was pretty excited by what I found, with not only coverage in my area but I should be able to get a signal in a building as well.

Yeah, not so much. I can't even sniff a 4G signal walking around outside of my home, much less inside.
I was able to get 4G in Roanoke TX today so I know it works.

I has a sad.

Anyone else in the same boat?
