Jeremy: You do know if you go into battery usage details, and tap "Cell standby", it will tell you the amount of time (in %) that the phone did not have signal, correct? It's a separate measurement to the battery usage of the cell radio. If he's getting 90%+ numbers there, that means he's not getting any reception.

Then I'm not sure at what exactly the OP is referring too. It's just best for him to replace the device if he's getting no signals where he would usually get one.

This isn't the first I have heard of poor reception. The EVO has the same 3D antennas that the Pre and Iphone have so its reception should be the same. I really hope this is just a simple software fix.

thats what I thought, I never had prefect signal with the pre but it never went offline.
