Poor Data Reception

I have been continually frustrated by my G2s complete lack of data connectivity in my Wall St office here in NYC and I had to leave the building to load a simple web page. I recently bought a Sony Xperia Z2 from Taiwan and the difference is like night and day. At the same desk where I had no LTE with the G2, I now have internet access back on my Z2. Has anyone else had a similar experience? I was thinking about keeping the G2 as a backup phone, but now having second thoughts.

I think the differences you are seeing is the fact that, the last I was aware of, Sony radios were second only to Motorola's. So, for sake of argument, even if LG is a somewhat distant third, that is the difference.
There is nothing wrong with having a backup, though.

Not sure. Have never used an HTC device.

Where would you rate HTC'S radios?

I just returned a HTC One M8 due to other problems. I will say that reception signal strength was better than my Note 3 by about 5db. I also have a Moto X and I would say the HTC was on par with that.

Screen lift, poor call quality, and problems with the SD card slot continuously ejecting my card.

Oh wow that doesn't sound good. You think it was just a defective device? Although that is a lot of defects on one phone!

It was actually 3 of them, each with a combination of what I mentioned. That's why I gave up and switched.
