Poor Motorola Droix X battery life?

I factory rest mine this morning and only added (other than gmail) my work pop acct. I will see what happens. No ATK or anything. I figure I will run it totally stock for 24 hours and see what happens.

I'm having similar battery problems. Charged to 90% at 4:30pm and went out. Didn't really use it that much and the battery was dead at 11:30pm. That's awful. Fully charged last night so we'll see what today brings.

I noticed that under "what processes are running," the motoblur widgets (news, social, etc.) were all still fetching data even though I had trashed them which is strange. I had stopped them before 4:30 though so something else is wrong.

I have also noticed that i never have anything listed ib the what has used the most battery section. On my droid it would list specific apps and such, but on the dx its just screen, standby, and phonecalls listed...

Ok everyone; I was one of the people with poor battery life, and in my case it was because I had left the GPS triangulating on all the time. Looking at the control widgets when I saw the satellite for some reason my brain read "cell coverage" so I left it on. I turned it off last night and charged the phone. Took it off at 7:30 am and with heavy use for at least 2-3 hours it's still sitting at 60% battery. It should easily make it past a normal work day even with another several hours of heavy use (web surfing, app downloads, etc) and with a bit more normal use it looks like it would make it a full day till bed time, which is all I ask.

So check and make sure the sat/GPS functions aren't on. If you use an app that needs it (like navigation) it'll just ask you to turn it on when you need it.

i'm really disappointed in my X, i took it to an OTEP concert last night to record the band, it batt was 100% right before i left, 5 min drive to the blue goat, still full, 5 min of recording the band, auto shutdown.

My battery life on my X seems to be getting worse... The first day I got it, charged it to 100% and played with it most of the day lasted me from 11am that morning that I got it till about 6pm the following day and even then it was just at 50%. I have no idea whats going on with this thing but it seems the more I use it, the worse it gets, with everything that is. I just unplugged mine 10 min ago and its already down to 90%, Come on...really? I didnt do anything on it and its down already? Come monday, Im taking it back and either asking to exchange it for another one or getting my money back. I went through too many issues with my Inc and now this... I love the thing but too many damn issues. Oh and what the hell happened with all the reviews praising its battery life? thats out the window...

I have no idea whats with these devices nowadays not being able to have a battery that lasts.

My battery has been excellent it has more than last through the day. Funny thing actually happened yesterday while I was seeing how long my battery could last I had my battery down to the yellow and decided to restart it to see how much it would affect the battery and when i turned it back on it was green and I checked the settings to see maybe it was a mistake but sure enough it was right. I even ran some apps to see if it would quickly deplete the battery but it lasted a few more hours. So for anyone having battery problems idk what to say cause mine has been stellar.

How are people checking specific battery life? I had a widget installed that only showed in 10% increments. Is there anything out there that's more specific.

I was also having the 10% almost immediate drop after pulling off the charger.

I use an app called Screeble that is available in the market free. The guy made it for his personal use and it was working so well he decided to put it in the Market. Does a decent job. Basically it auto adjust your screen by turning it down or off when recognizing it is not being used based on how the phone iss tipped. Sounds odd but it bought me at least an hour a day, maybe more when I put it on my Droid. I don't really notice that it is even there. Nice little utility.

My battery life slightly improved today, but i still lose 10% life as soon as i take it off the charger.

Did all the review units ship with a better battery? Mine sucks also. If this is all I can get out of it i will need at least 2 more replacements to use throughout a day.

Be sure your gps is turned off (the satellite looking controlled button). I was charging twice a day at first, turned it off before charging and I just got my first warning minutes ago after 13 hours of heavy use.

A major part of these problems is a false battery indicator. This will be addressed in the upcomming software update....

It has nothing to do with a false battery indicator when the phone actually turns off due to a dead battery after only 5 hours of use.

2 days and the phone with minimal to moderate use has lasted 12 hours before hitting 30%. I've used my iPhone the same amount and it's at 70% still. Gonna give this so called conditioning period a couple more days but if this is the gist of what it can do it's going back sadly. I want off the iPhone so frigid bad it hurts but I refuse to be a juice monkey tethering my phone at every opp or turning off wifi and gps when I'm not using them. I want them on and everything to just work. At some point the phone should just work and I shouldn't have to learn how to make it work to get through a casual day. Hoping to god a couple more drains and charges and it will suddenly last a full day with 50% charge left but starting to lose hope.

i woke up at around 2 my time, and in 8 hours the phone was down to 50%, thats disappointing, when all ive done is text the entire day.

Here's the real deal and chew on it for a bit. The bottom line is that the battery life on the X sucks donkey balls. I already swapped out my battery for a brand new one and I drained that one right off the bat so I can start the day fresh with 100 percent.

I won't go into my first battery life results because the second battery just about duplicated it. Right off of the charger looking at my first e-mail of the day, I went from 100 to 90 in 5 minutes! During the morning, with a few calls, data and text usage, I went from 90 to 70 in about 3 hours. From 70 to 50 in another 2 more hours with little data and no calls. I am at 40 right now after 9 hours. I'll bet my last dollar that it goes from 40 to the warning in just a bit because this is exactly what happened with the first battery. In a nutshell, once the battery gets to 50, you start sweating it out, it goes fast from there.
My Incredible was not great with the standart battery but it is better then the X. The X clearly needs an extended battery for comforts sake. When I put the extended on the Incredible, it was a beast! I could not drain that battery. My hope is that the X extended doesn't make the phone look awkward and a whole lot bigger.

FYI....why do some keep talking about conditioning these batterys? That is nonsense according to most experts. Task Killer is even more nonsense according to trusted experts.

In summary so far....the phone has failed the hype for the most part. I will wait for the extended and hope for the best. If that fails, I will go back to the Incredible with the extended battery and be happy.

Which extended where you using the 17mah or 22 or is it 24.

The HTC 2150. Seriously, that battery was a god send. I am missing my Incredible big time right now. In fact, I have to stop reading these reviews because all it does is make me want to kick myself for going against what I knew what would happen.

FYI....visit the Marketplace in about 5 minutes.

Edit, visit the Crackberry MarketPlace is what I meant.
