Pop up ads driving me crazy

Since the android update on my S8+, I've been inundated with pop up ads. I run lookout and show no issues, I recently downloaded and ran malwarebytes and scans came up clean. I've now installed Adblocker because I'm ready to lose my mind. Does anyone have any additional suggestions before I run over my phone with my car? I've about had it.

Android Update has nothing to do with your popup ads. Its some rogue app which you installed that is taking control. Remove all unnecessary/ recently installed apps and check.

Sometimes it is even a long used app that receives an auto update turning it into an ad machine. Greedy developers. I check the playstore for the 1 star reviews with complaints of popups.

I had a similar issue with my s9. I would always get 2 pop ups, then after a while 2 more. Always 2.Tried everything, free malware apps etc. Finally I found out how to fix and have not had one ever since. I went into Bixby, then settings, then cards, and turned off foursquare. Hope this helps
