Pop up notifications question

I'm coming from a pixel 2 xl so this may be just a learning curve. I like the pop up notifications that I used to get on the pixel, it allowed me to see the notification in a small pop up window at the top of my screen and interact with it if I wanted. If I didn't, it would go away after a few seconds or I can swipe away.

It seems the s10 keeps the popup notification in that little bubble no matter how long I let it sit there. Is there a way to auto dismiss the popup or an app that mimics the way Google implemented it on the pixel phones?

Thanks

Are you seeing the actual notification (atop the screen) or the 'chat heads'/bubbles in the app? If the latter, you need to disable (or customize which apps you want that with) Smart Pop-up view.

Chatheads. I disabled the smart pop ups and installed heads up notifications. Much better interface to use.

The pop up message at the top of the screen does not show enough of the message for me. I want to option to see as much of the message as I want. Swipe down to interact and swipe away to dismiss.
