Popping, clicking, digital artifacts in music since Marshmallow OTA update.

hello all,

I have been on marshmallow for about a week now on my Nexus 5 and I have been getting tons of audit artifacts. This happens in spotify, amazon music, and Smart AudioBook Player.

I have reinstalled these apps and cleared their cache with now joy. Has anyone else seen this problem?

Have you already cleared the cache partition? http://forums.androidcentral.com/nexus-5-rooting-roms-hacks/352008-guide-nexus-5-recovery.html. Be aware that this can take 5-10 minutes.

Also, do you hear those crackles when using a preinstalled app like Google Play Music, or are they only with 3rd party apps?

I'm having this exact same issue with my Nexus 6P on Marshmellow. I experience this when using Amazon Music Prime. The interesting thing is that all music bought from Amazon Music doesn't have this problem at all. Only the Prime tracks have this crackle/popping issue.
