I'm new here and found this place more appropriate for my post.

The other day I noticed this http://i.imgur.com/5i7Rz64.png and got concerned. I never use popup browser when not on wifi and I never leave it open. (Why is it background data?)

Today, I notice this http://i.imgur.com/ELvcxNs.png , It is still using data. This really can't be doing this and I have found nothing online to help me. Please, does anyone know what I can do or why it's doing this?

Might be a rougue webpage that got 'stuck' on your browser... Also, bear in mind that most apps DO use some background data even when closed, but it shouldn't be so much as you're seeing. Try finding the PopUp Browser in Application Manager/All Apps and clear cache. If it doesn't work, then try to also clear data.

Thank you for replying. It seems like I can't get an answer. I'll clear cache right now and keep an eye on it.

Edit: I couldn't get an answer, is what I meant.

Oh, and I cleared the cache and it had over 10mb of cache data. http://i.imgur.com/8UjkAZy.png I wonder if that was normal?

As long as it's cached, yeah, it's normal... you should also run an adware scan just in case

I cleared the cache, I didn't clear the data though. Can you recommend a way of scanning for adware? I've only had the phone for less than a week but I'll scan it.

I used Lookout's Network Ad Detector, I think that should work and it's free. Did clearing cache help with your problem?
