Porting 3rd party GPS app from old device

Has anyone else tried porting your 3rd party gps app from your older device to your new Thunderbolt?

I am trying to install Co-Pilot Live 8 USA on Thunderbolt and sometimes it fails to recognize my google checkout order number or when it does recognize the number it does not let me download the maps. It shows "missing required file" error message. I have sent an email to the app developers (ALK) and waiting for their reply (I guess I will have to wait till Monday). I was just wondering if anyone had same problem.

I thought i read some where on there site that you can install that app on one phone. I am not sure thought.
