Possible Facebook App Update

Last night my embedded facebook app disappeared. Icon just vanished off my homescreen and out of my apps table. About 10 minutes later it reappeared in apps table. Copied to homescreen and noticed battery drainage going up. Uninstalled and disabled all facebook related apps and data. Reinstalled without updates. I am keeping an eye on battery drainage. Has anyone else had this problem. AT&T 64gb note 5. Still no MM

Sounds like Galaxy Apps or Play Store are set to automatically update, so that could help explain the disappear/reappear behavior. Beyond that, I don't use Facebook, so disabled the app (among others). From some of the recent posts I've seen here, Facebook app can be a battery consumer.

After resetting all related apps seems to be fine. Shut off auto update for FB.

I noticed this in the last couple of days. My phone has gotten hot and battery drains fast. Could it be the fb app?

I removed, cleared cache, and completely disabled bake in facebook. Also uninstalled Messenger and FB calendar sync. WIPED partication. Then reinstalled everything. Much better back to normal. Still no bleedin' MM. Say something AT&T. Anything.
