Possible Galaxy S5 leaked (lots of pics)

Would've been better with better material. I'm sure many are tired of plastic.

Plastic is fine with me. Metal would be OK as long is it was all black. don't care for any other colors except maybe the dark blue the had on the SIII and then I was disappointed they did not have that in black. The color of the one don't appeal to me at all and a removable battery is a must. I do put my phone in a black case but when I take the phone out of the black case it has to be all black excepting for a small trim is all that is allowed. Not very dark (black or dark dark blue) I will keep my black S4. the reason I bought the S4 was to get rid of the dark blue SIII.

What the screen will look like is one of my #1 concerns! Nothing worse than looking at a crappy screen for 2 years....lol!

The color is meaningless to me because it'll be going right into a protective case anyway.

The only way I care about the color is if there is a color that is cheaper than the other ones lol.

Based on this, the S5 Mini will be the same size as the S4. lol

Did they really have to make it bigger than the S4? Smh.

Also that dimple design is weird, and looks outright ugly on the gold model.

Wow!!! If this is what I have been holding out for then I am disappointed. I was hoping for a newer design and no bezel. This looks like the same thing just stretched. And the back....ugh!

Maybe I will look at my other options like the LG G2 or the Note 3. Please Samsung....show me something else at today's unveiling.

I have a feeling that a Prime version may be coming...but I guess we only have an hour left so we'll see. Samsung explicitly has stated that they want to focus on design and differentiating the S4 from the S5. I feel like the Prime version will be a higher quality product.

Also, not sure if anyone feels the same way, but these leaks do not look like the S5's that were sitting behind the Gear 2 in those leaked photos. For one thing, there didn't appear to be dimples on the back. I know we're all just speculating at this point haha, but I'm crossing my fingers for a Prime.

I don't know what I'll do in July when my contract is up and it's time to upgrade. I like the way the HTC M8 looks but that removable battery and microSD card slot is such a necessity. It's what's keeping me from even considering leaving Samsung.

I hope we are also being trolled... :)
I agree with you in that it looks like they just kinda stretched the phone to make it taller. Hmm

The Galaxy S4 to S5 is like the iPhone 4 to 5
Thinner and longer with better specs and a fingerprint scanner
Coincidence? lol

HTC is doing the same thing. The Htc m8 looks exactly like the htc one. Both are ugly

That thing is ugly, especially the gold. As someone who doesn't put his phone in a case, I wouldn't want this one.

TouchWiz looks as janky as ever

IMO it's very, very ugly, but looks aren't everything I guess.

Don't know what their designers are thinking, but I was never really interested in this phone anyway. Enjoy.

Their designers don't consider our taste for devices and until we see Samsung actually release a phone that doesn't look like all their other devices it won't change. As for ugly, that is an opinion and everyone has one. I personally don't care for the battery door but then again I put a case on it so I could care less. I had the GN3 and its similar style so no biggie. What I am waiting to hear is the specs, what the US will see and IF there is a premium model coming with more power in a few months.

I see many are disappoint with the look of the S5, but 75% of us use cases for protection. Once a case goes on, the design is no longer an issue, but that is my 2 centabos. My many hang up is the size, once a case goes on, it gets bigger which is my hang up.

Exactly how I feel! If HTC offered AT LEAST the sd card slot, I'd def try it out just to try something different other than Samsung!

Exactly, if the HTC One 2014 comes with a microSD slot then they have a good shot against Samsung along with their (US only) guarantee for 2 years of updates which has value. Now I did like the Boom speakers last time but the lack of microSD (you don't have to use it) but not offering it is a big mistake.

Well there are disadvantages to offering MicroSD support, actually. It is a source of errors; just visit the Galaxy SIII or S4 forums and search for the number of threads involving issues with SD cards not working, or issues related to the SD slot. It's also a security loophole for any phone. As a medium they're outdated; slow, and unreliable. It's easy to lose all your data if you lose the card or it becomes corrupted. It's not officially supported by Android either, and I was less than happy with Samsung's "hacking in" of them on the S4 - many things about their implementation wasn't ideal.

I'm not getting another phone with one again for the above reasons. I also don't like that they could be used as an excuse to pack less internal memory in (which is faster, more reliable, safter, etc). It was a big problem on the S4 when it came to app storage. 32gb really needs to be the standard these days.

And the reason Samsung is dominating in sales is advertising, not because they offer SD cards. That's a very minute feature in the grand scheme of things.

Doubt microSD card support won't sway enough buyers.

Samsung provides support for at least 2 years. S3 is a few months away from being 2 years old. And it will be updated to 4.4.2.
